What material to use for Mummificiation?

I've been told, do not use clingfilm, seran wrap and latex because it has the issues of dehydration and sweating.

So what do I use?

I like to use horse bandages. They breathe like an ace bandage, but they come in bright colors.

Why oh why when all the videos show the tickling of nekkid to semi-nekkid women (which, up til now, I assumed all you guys preferred) would you want to wrap a woman up so's you can't see anything but her face and feet? Most folks seem to prefer that the 'Lees show more skin... and here you are trying to cover as much as possible (not that I ever wanna be tickled - nor would anyone want to see me - in a nekkid or semi-nekkid state).

On a personal level, the reason it's interesting to me, is that it's an intense form of restraint, and also involves some sensory deprivation that heightens the awareness of everything that the lee feels, physically and emotionally.

I also think there's something kind of sexy about the fact that she's almost completely encased; there's a sense of her being somewhat removed from her environment, but still vulnerable to being played with.

From a producing standpoint, the video starts with her uncovered and you see her getting encased, so there's more of an awareness of who is under the wrap than you can probably tell from just the picture. And her face is as fully revealed as it would be if she were wearing a blindfold, so you're still pretty aware of what she's feeling and expressing.

As for covering up the skin, it's easy to leave openings, or create more by just sliding the bandages around.

It's also not something I do, or would want to do, every time I play or film, it's more like an exotic treat from time to time, something different and more extreme.

Let me add that it's hardly an exception, mummification tickling videos are very, very popular: many foot lovers adore having only the feet exposed because that's where they want the 'ler to focus, and that can be said of the underarm and belly enthusiasts as well. It's also popular because "all the videos show the tickling of nekkid to semi-nekkid women" and it's therefore different and refreshing. And as a 'lee I can say that it's one of THE sexiest, most deliciously submissive ways to be tickled; waiting to see what area your 'ler will expose next, hearing the material as it's cut or ripped away and knowing there's nothing you can do...yeah

Now, I've never been involved in this, but I'm definitely a fan. As Bella mentioned, I like the submissive level it has. The immobility, all you can do is lay there and watch, maybe wiggle around a little is all you can really do beyond laugh. Not to mention I'm a feet tickling enthusiast, so anything that really puts focus on them, I tend to like more. :]

The vet wrap Jeff pointed out works well, too - they're both plastic, and there's going to be some sweating either way, and even though the vet wrap technically breaths more, once you've wrapped more than one later, that ability goes away. I like to have the mummified person wear thin cotton clothing underneath to absorb some of the sweat (and to have a change of clothing for later) but some people prefer the naked. I also like duct tape to go over the top.

It's really a matter of personal preference, and keeping an eye on the needs of the 'lee.

Plastic wraps work just fine as well. They just require further monitoring and more hydration. The bonus is that with the clearer wraps you would still have the visual of the skin. I personally love and use many media to wrap, as does my past Mistress (who is a professional Dominatrix and instructor). I like to use large plastic drop cloth sheets and wrap them with that because I can do large scale cutting with it without risking parts trying to unravel.

With media that comes in bands like the horse bandages or saran wrap, I like to also do partial mummification where you leave large areas exposed. I find that the sensory depervation that occurs can heighten the tickling and sensation play. With any mummification, you will be doing at least twice as much monitoring, and even more if you do use non breathable media. What I will also do with the plastic to help with the heat is to insert ice cubes in various locations by making little slits or slipping it between the overlaps. It helps cool the temp back down as well as add a little more torture and mind fuck to my victims.

When Lee and Jeff mummified me in the plastic wrap, I don't
recall sweating a whole lot more than I normally do during really
intense play. I'll echo what Bella says about making you feel more
submissive (although the subspace was consistent with my usual
subspace), and there is a feeling of dread when Lee would cut holes
over areas I really didn't want her to tickle. There's way more anticipation
than if I were just tied up and being tickled - no need to cut anything
away, so there just isn't any time to feel scared. The reacting is instant.
The mummification adds a huge mindfuck to the experience. This can be
great, if done with the right person/people.

My best experience, my thoughtful 'ler who knows me well brought in a fan, cranked up the AC and wrapped me in one of those woven hammocks (I want to say crocheted but I'm not sure that it was) Lots of holes, plenty of breathing room, it was great!

Now that sounds like a fun time! I've done this once and used your standard issue bed sheet. Fortunately, my girlfriend at the time was not claustrophobic.
