Since so many movies have been being remade or have been given sequels, which movies do you want to see made again?

I would pick Titanic. Wouldn't it be awesome if Micheal Bay directed the Titanic movie? Imagine that epic explosion when the Titanic hits the asteroid!

None, actually. Most remakes are greatly inferior to the original film.

Here are some movies I'd like to see remade:

She Done Him Wrong (1933)

Destry (1954)

Bound and Gagged: A Love Story (1993)

There was a classic World War II film about the hard reality of war called Twelve O'Clock High with Gregory Peck. This was the first war film that had a gritty and dark tone about ordinary men who flew bombing missions and paid either physically or mentally. In the remake, they could include the mission that took a toll on the bomber group at the beginning of the story, where the old film just shows them returning with heavy casualties. The film has been a quintessential part of decision making and leadership training in the military.

Another would be a retelling of my favorite cop show of all time...

I thought the Dan Akroyd and Tom Hanks continuation was funny, however the revival with Ed O'Neill didn't do justice. "What's Al Bundy doing with a badge?"

It would be a retro-film set in the 1950s showing a far more grittier hell-hole of Los Angeles with Joe Friday in his prime. The old radio and tv shows were groundbreaking in their own right when they dealt with real-life issues such as drugs, child pornography, homicide, and fraud, but a new film with an R-rating showing detectives on the front lines against the scum of the world would do justice. The cases were real cases that received embellishment "to protect the innocent". Jack Webb is a legend and this remake would be a tribute to his talent and creativity.

Cool cigarette ad.

Dear Hollywood, we want our masculinity back!

I like your idea a lot! (Damn, but Jack Webb looks like a kid in that ad!)

My favorite kaiju monster movie..."WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS!" Tim burton expressed interest in remaking this film years back, but never did.

I can't think of any specific movies at the moment that I'd like to see remade, but I'm wondering if there are any movies that were largely or loosely based on real-life events/people, but over time their content has been contradicted by revelations, developments, further research relating to whatever they were based on....eg wrong convictions/hoaxes etc - it would be interesting to see something like that remade.

Although I can't think of any if those either, but it struck me as interesting.

Actually it would be quite fun to see a remake of Jumanji.

Honestly, after seeing so many remakes of good films bomb lately, I came to the conclusion that it's best to leave the originals as they are. Very few remakes get the job done.

King Kong.
The last one left a bad taste in my mouth.

GOD I KNOW RIGHT? Jack Black did a TERRIBLE JOB! He didn't even TRY to get the ACCENT for that specific time right! The sacrifice scene was ALL WRONG too! Also, I want to PUNCH the asshole who did the giant leech scene! I didn't even stay in the theater to see Kong wreck Manhattan!

My favorite kaiju monster movie..."WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS!"

Oooo...I didn't even THINK of Kaiju movies. Um, okay, I'd like to see the following remade by ToHo:

Godzilla vs. Megalon
Godzilla vs. King Kong

This would have to be DUNE!!!!

They have done something else with the more recent mini-series.
But its like....I would love to see a new properly edited version, together with a big budget. But mainly, it really needs to be well edited and a bit more easy to go for those not familiar with the universe.

I think its a very very risky project and very unlikely anyone wants to mess with it in the near future.....
