I like different things as well, but mostly /\/\etal, ...well if you consider that Black Sabbaths first album came out when I was in my freshman year of high school, and the first concert I ever went to was Jimi Hendrix, it would be understandable that I'm a /\/\etal-Head from way back. There's not much of the Nu Metal that I like, except for Tool and A Perfect Circle.
I haven't been buying CD's much either, and download as well, Nessonite, but I don't really like to download. Finances dictate which way I go with that, but I usually end up buying (when I can) what I download if I like it, and delete it if I don't. A good source for me are the 2nd hand CD shoppe's...you can usually get some good bargains there, as well as sometimes finding some rare/hard-to-find or out-of-print gems in such places.
I'd been totally out of it for a long time, from the early 80's up until just a little over a year ago, so now I'm catching up on what I missed out on all those years (MTV killed it for me). Currently I've put together the entire Megadeth library...and at ILuv2B's suggestion, I've downloaded quite a bit of Bond's material. I find it very soothing (I have sleep prob's)...and I LOVE their cover of Led Zeppelins 'Kashmir'...!!
Here is a band I recently found out about...one the few nu-metal bands I do like. Check them out and see if YOU like them as well...there is a video you can download on the media page of the site. You will need Macromedia's Flash Player to view the site.
