What Was The Greatest Foot-Tickling Scene In History?

I don't think it's beating a dead horse as much as it is just a pointless discussion. Everybody has their personal "best" scene so there's not going to ever be a consensus on a "true" best. Notice how several people have gone completely off-topic by citing personal experiences, which of course can't even be judged on a group basis. And comparing cartoons to live-action scenes is pretty pointless IMO. Even some of the better cartoon scenes have some unrealistic aspect(s) (e.g., Olive hanging by one foot off a girder).

Just enjoy the scenes you like, ignore the ones you don't and let's not argue over a mythical "greatest scene" that doesn't exist even in theory.

Off the top of my head, the famous scene from 'North to Alaska' where Capucine gets her feet tickled by Stewart Granger is still pretty hard to beat.

The best I ever saw on TV or in a movie was the foot tickling scene at the beginning of the 1958 film The Brothers Karamazov.

A picture of that scene actually was on the cover Life magazine that year (see below).

Somehow, I managed to miss many iconic TV tickling moments. I never saw things like Bro's Karazamov, several legendary Olive Oyl moments in Popeye `toons, and I somehow missed stuff like the epic TMNT scenes with April O'Neil or even most of the late-nite shenanigans on Howard Stern and didn't get around to seeing any of these until much later.

Not that there weren't "triggers" to be found on TV while I was a kid in the 70's/80's, mind you. Just that it's interesting (to me, at least) that I managed to completely miss all of the aforementioned scenes until long after my tickling fetish had ripened/matured/rotted/etc.

I think there's a certain magic to those TV/movie scenes for those of us who were wired for tickling in the pre-Net days. There was so damnably little to find out there prior to the Web, that we'd grasp at any little straws we could find. I would have totally flipped out had I ever seen those moments from The Bro's Karazamov as a youth!

In my case, the tickling fetish seems to have occurred from real life situations as a kid, tickling and being tickled. I'm not sure WHERE the bondage aspects of my fetish came from, but they seem to be as ingrained as the tickling. So, any time I'd see a TV/movie moment where someone was bound, I'd get all fidgety.

My Favorite

My favorite scene would have to be the Uptons commercial (aired in Spring 1994). It featured a couple reading and relaxing on the sofa. The wife had her socked feet in her husband's lap. She playfully kicks his newpaper, which leads to him pulling her sock off to throw it in her face. She playfully fights back by pulling off her other sock and throwing it at his face. He then holds her ankles together and tickles her feet, causing her to laugh hysterically. Finally, he throws her feet to the side, tickles her sides, and then they make out. I remember her feet being so beautiful. He was a very lucky man.

The commercial was once posted on YouTube (www.youtube.com), but it got removed. Unfortunately, it was blurry. If anyone else has a recording of this commercial (a clear version), please post it. Thanks.
