Okay, here we go with the next installment. 4 winners, 4 losers again.

ARIZONA: Officially the scariest team left in the playoffs, scary as in when they are going on all cylinders they look unstoppable. Hightower and James also make a great 1-2 punch. Even without Bolden, the Cardinal passing game is still one of the best. Arizona's defense again keeps coming up in big games.

CAROLINA:Jake Delhomme has now gone from Captain Comeback to Captain Let me have that throw back! Carolina's defense needs to look at some secondary free agents or high draft pick. Carolina needs a dominate pass rushing linebacker.

EAGLES:Again, Donovan McNabb can make the big play. Philly's D may not be able to stop the run, but they make just enough plays to keep you from relying on it. The No-Name receiving corps just continues making big catch after big catch.

GIANTS: Without a top threat receiver, the run game alone is simply not enough. Manning can't throw into a stiff wind. The Giants Defense while still good, was missing that big defensive spark. FINISH DRIVES!

BALTIMORE: Defense will win championships. Keep games low scoring (between 10-14) and Baltimore will probably win. Flacco has just enough to make 1 or 2 good drives a game, and with their defense that's all they may need.

TITANS: When you lose your speed, your dead in the water. When players get hurt, others HAVE to pick it up. Have a GIANT BUZZER go off whenever the play clock goes to zero at your home stadium. Tennessee needs some big play WR's to go along with Chris Johnson.

SAN DIEGO:Don't abandon the run, even if it isn't working you need to slow down the pass rush. Get your fastest player the ball when nothing else is working. By the time SD did, it was too late. When 100% healthy San Diego should challenge for a title.

PITTSBURGH: Ball control will WIN games. Defense is unreal. When Pittsburgh's offense and defense are playing at full strength and well rested, no one is going to beat them. Hines Ward is one tough SOB. Big Ben will make the big throw. The O-Line of the Steeler's could protect the President, they were that good.

ONE THING LEARNED OVERALL: The three top defenses in the NFL (Pittsburgh #1, Baltimore #2, Philadelphia #3) all won and moved on. A great defense makes a difference in the playoffs.

OK, all of your thoughts now.

Ive learned that too many top teams are chokers. i also learned defensive games are borrrrrrrrrrrrrrring. :sowrong:

I learned that it's possible to run only 1 offensive play in an entire quarter and somehow manage to have 2 turnovers.

again losers dont matter now so ill talk about the winners

Arizona they are the hottest team in the league right now and thats all that matters come playoff time.. their defense and running game is better than what they were given credit for.. and if warner throws it anywhere near fitzgerald hes going to catch it.. they are dangerous right now and i expect them to be in the superbowl

Eagles like Arizona they are also hitting a stride right now.. and they dont need westbrook to run for a lot of yards to win games.. two weeks in a row now he rushed for under 50 yards and they still one.. Mcnabb isnt dead yet as many thought (including myself) earlier this year.. and their defense isnt that far behind the steelers and ravens

Ravens they play a tough smash mouth game and they know how to protect their rookie until they need him to make a play.. even if the run isnt working they still shove it down your throat.. and their offense doesnt make mistakes.. although i think even at the beggining of that game the ravens looked tired and it seems they really need the 8 days their gettting

Steelers the offense is FINALLY healthy and rolling.. big ben has cut down on his mistakes seemingly, and the offensive line is actually blocking people.. willie parker is running well now that he is 100 percent and that offense is scary when clickling.. the defense is still number 1 and they hit hard and harrass teams which always helps win games

from what i saw i think its going to end in a arizona vs pittsburgh in the superbowl

ARIZONA: Fitz is a beast. Kurt's got some magic in that old hat of his. Still can't run or stop the run.

CAROLINA:John Fox needs to go. Steve Smith needs a #2. J-Stew and DeAngelo can't do it all. Delhomme sucks.

EAGLES:Jim Johnson is a genius. Thank God for that D. Because Lord knows McNabb and Reid can't play from behind.

Way to stick it to the Gints (at home!)

GIANTS: They are who we thought they were.

BALTIMORE: 2000 Ravens all over again... as Teddy KGB would say:

'Hanging around... hanging around. Kids' got alligator's blood.'

TITANS: When Kerry Collins is your QB... Kerry Collins is your QB.

SAN DIEGO: LDT=bitch. Rivers is legit. If they ever stayed healthy, they'd win it all. Too bad.

PITTSBURGH: So long as Big Ben is healthy and doesn't turn it over---NO WAY they lose. None.

3 cliches that rang true:

HFA means nothing if you don't show up.

It's not how you start---it's how you finish.

Defense, defense, defense. (Wins Championships)

Reason #1 AZ shouldn't advance.

But I'm not putting cold hard cash on McNabb and Reid just yet.

My spidey senses are tingling...

All PA Superbowl?

Could you in all good conscience bet on a rookie QB/coach and the AZ Cardinals...?!

You all know who my picks will be...

I learned that each time I want the chargers to win LT sits his A** on the sideline for the whole game. I should stop gambling. Lol

Just because the team you bet on lost Maniac, does not qualify them as chokers. Unless you want to put the Patriots that were a 18-0 going into the Super Bowl chokers.

Disregard maniac. He's terrible at picking teams for betting purposes, he's a bandwagoner, and his knowledge of any team doesn't go beyond "they suck" or "they're great". And even that's only based on his personal opinion.

The biggest thing we learned was exactly what many have said. regular season means shit...all it does is get you in and place you on the rungs.

The biggest surprise has been Arizona finding their defense. With that offense, even a slightly-above-average defense can win them games.

What I've personally learned is that the NFC is fucked. My AFC picks have been pretty spot-on so far...and I have yet to pick an NFC game right. Lotsa chokin' goin' on in the "tough" division.

I do seriously think the Ravens/Steelers game is gonna be the real Super Bowl...and it's gonna be a bloodbath, folks. The two best defenses, the two toughest teams in every way...and they really do not like each other. I honestly cannot decide which way it will go, or even which way I want it to go. I picked Baltimore to go all the way, so I'll stick with that at least picks-wise...but in my heart, this is just gonna be a great game. There's reason to root for each, enough to go around. The Steelers continuing their legacy as the Super Bowl's best team and getting a sixth. The Ravens finally breaking the rookie QB barrier ( it IS about time ), and with a rookie head coach as well. The Ravens won the SB last time without a decent QB, and honestly, Flacco's better than Dilfer was. But Ben? Fuck man, this guy's the blueprint for "tough QB". Either way, it's gonna be a great game.

And that's what's gonna be good actually....about this upcoming round and the championship. None of "my" teams are left, so I have nothing personally vested. I can just watch the games and enjoy them, whoever wins. And whoever does, on both sides, is going to have earned it. No one left at his point has "stumbled in" to where they are.

The Cardinals are for real. They overcame the limitations of having a relatively weak defense and an older QB (and I still gotta love Warner, yet another great storyline in his unusual career. Former unlikely hero cast off to an unheralded team to die...and leads them here.) They not only beat the Number 2 team, but assasinated them. And, they can win the tight one as well, beating a Falcons team that was, on paper, better.

The Eagles proved they belonged. They lived under the shadow of having to thank Oakland for even getting in, but took advantage of what they were dealt. When you beat the defending champs, you've earned a spot. And they do have some weapons. Not big ones, but a lot of it's about using what you have when you see an opportunity and have favorable match-ups. That's where the coaching staff comes in, and Philly's got a good one.

The Steelers are...well, the Steelers. Good on both sides of the ball. They've got the playoff experience in the big games and a hell of a defense. As a mirror to the Cardinals, Pittsburgh is finding a far tighter offense when they need it the most.

Baltimore is taking Pittsburgh's path of being a #6 and riding that D all the way. It's like having another offense on the feild, one that can put points on the board on any given play. You don't need a veteran QB with this team.

These should be a couple of really good games. Whoever gets in is going to have earned it.

I go by instinct. stats and numbers dont win games. look at the biggest chokes, the Titans, Carolina the Giants. you are right about my horrible betting record though.
