What will you do if someone punched you for tickling them?

What will you do if you try to tickle someone who is extremely ticklish and they turned around to punch you? You didn't know the person hated to be tickled. Have you experienced something like this?

Never happened to me, but then again, I don't usually do those sorts of things without feeling someone out about it first. If I did overstep boundaries and got punched, I'd respect that and not tickle them again. It's only common courtesy.
My brother on the other hand would keep doing it until he destroyed the friendship. If he found out someone didn't like something, he'd keep giving it to them. Like with me it was being startled, and when I'd get angry from the repeated offenses, I could see him smiling like he got pleasure out of pissing someone off. One gal I knew was staying at his place while her apartment was being worked on. He asked her up front 'What's the one thing that bothers you the most?' She said violence against women. A few days later, he started renting violence against women videos. Not tell her what it's about, just say, 'I rented a movie, let's watch it.' A gal gets ubducted by three guys and gets her face repeatedly slapped. Nice guy. She got grossed out after 15 minutes and tried to read in another room of the apartment, but the volume was up and she could keep hearing the slap slap slap. She yelled at him to turn the volume down. 'OK' and dropped it down just a notch so she could keep hearing the slapping. She left the apartment and stayed over at another friends place.
Of course, this is an extreme example. I myself don't associate with the guy any more either, and he kept complaining to our mom that I avoid him, like he's the victim. There's some sick fucks out there.

As I don't tend to randomly touch people in the wrong context it's not a situation that I have ever found myself in.

Myriads

This is really your brother??? I hate to say it but he is a complete asshole. Sorry man, but that is just outrageous!

I'm usually the one getting tickled and as long as it's someone I know and am comfortable with, I twitch and giggle, not punch. Is it possible that your amount of comfort can affect how you react towards the tickling?

I agree. that's why I don't associate with him anymore either. Life is short.

That's never happened to me, and if it did I would feel like I had screwed up a pretty simple social interaction. I've never tickled someone without having a pretty good idea of how they were going to take it, and I can't imagine getting that personal with someone without that information.

That said, though, I've been punched and kicked plenty of times by people who claim to like being tickled. 😎

I usually only tickle people I know won't react violently, so it hasn't happened to me. I have accidentally hurt people who have surprised and tickled me, but that's their fault. =P

I've been injured a few times myself, but only due to people flailing around. Even got a bloody nose from my best friend kicking me in the face once. XD
That said, I think if someone legitimately tries to punch you in the face, you've probably overstepped some pretty obvious social boundaries.

never do it again to that person thats why i always ask first that way if i get punched its a reflex action and not self defense
