I may be a little dim a little slow on this but I've always heard about using a safe word when in a tickle
session. What I get from this is this word is a signal for the ler to stop tickling. Right?
Why not just use the word STOP! Why use another word?

Most people nominate a safe word that is completely removed from the tickling scenario - blue, red etc, so that if the need to use it arises their partner knows that they really need the activity to stop and aren't just playing along in the session. Saying stop or no is a natural reaction when being tickled so if a ler stopped everytime a lee said it then the session would go nowhere.

Basically, when some people are engaging in various kinky of fetish type of activities or commonly referred to as a scene they may say "no," "stop," crying, screaming, struggling, or even cursing out the other person(s) involved, but don't want the scene to end. So, by having a predetermined and agreed upon safe word it can help clarify when someone actually wants/needs the scene to end. Oh, and incase of a gag you can always use a squeaky toy or equivalent as the safe word.
