Back in high school, I had a younger friend, who was 14. He was already an alcoholic. Don't know whatever became of him. His name was George. Very nice boy.

I'm in agreement here, with the basic premise. As for me, I was never wired to enjoy or immerse myself in Britneyculture, or the American mania for celebrity worship, or what passes for currently popular tastes in music and other media. To me, it's all stupid shit.

I think that the stuff we complain about was always around...the difference is, it's technology that's managed to magnify it. Crap was always King. It's just that now, you're being inundated with so much more of it.
