A gifted , funny , & charming actor , how could anyone not have loved John Candy?


The Great Outdoors is one of those movies that is enjoyable no matter how many times you watch it.

He had a couple of hilarious bit parts in The Blues Brothers & National Lampoon's Vacation ... & he also lent his voice talent to Heavy Metal.

Stripes is a bonafide classic.

For my money , though , my favorite movies of his are Uncle Buck & Planes , Trains , & Automobiles. Great stuff!
