When are you too old to look at younger people sexually?

I have lots of time at work so i think this stuff up

Now a guy in my work, he's currently divorced, 25 and is mad crushing\hittin on a girl who just joined who's 18. Now he's met alot of redicule for this due to the age gap and her being so "young"

Now it got me thinking, i mean when i turn 30-40, does it become dirty if i think some teen heart throb female singer or actress is sexy\hot? I mean im 22 now, but it has me thinking, like how socially acceptable is it to try and date a 18 year old freshman and whatnot

Hell, its always made the news and stereotype as a joke where some 80 year old guy may marry or date a 21 year old gal and this is seen as "bad"

So opinions all, im curious, and wonderin which ages i should cross off on my avail list...lol

I put up a personal ad, and have had some guys who are 18-21 message me to say they want to hook up. I turn them down. I'm not comfortable of being with someone who is half of my age.

I'm not one to see a problem with age gaps. I'm 25 and I don't see that much difference between 18 and me. I catch myself eyeing up guys who can't be any more than 16 or 17 all the time. Have to remind myself I'm not that age anymore so it's supposed to be immoral or something.
I think a relationship with someone whose age is far from your own in either direction is something you have to try before you discount the idea. my hubby is 13 years older than me so...meh. No biggie.

I agree with the rest of the guys that a man is never to old to look at a pretty female of legal age. I am 55 and I look every chance I get and my Dad is 81 and he still enjoys looking at pretty females. I don't think any man should stop looking until the day comes when it's his turn to be put in a box with six handles on the outside of it.

How fucked up is that?), age should be just a number. A 25 year-old having the hots for an 18-year-old doesn't sound that unusual.

FWIW, I think the cute-young-thing thing works great as a fantasy but loses something in the translation to reality. I live in a college town and at the risk of contradicting myself, I must say that although some of the college grrlz (the descriptive "coed" should have gone the way of words like "quadroon") look foxy, if you talk to most of 'em, they sound like *kids* (their language, not their tone of voice), and that's a big-time turn-off for me.

Words of wisdom my man, words of wisdom. Though we often may not admit it and it may sometimes be considered unsavoury I think the day we stop looking is the day they put the last nail in the coffin. We just need to remember that what we are looking at is a person, never too old to look but sometimes, (not always) a big age difference is too much for a healthy relationship.... Well the only other thing you need to ask yourself is how serious of a relationship you're looking for. Dating younger girls is a tricky proposition. If you're looking for something long-lasting and serious then you're (99% probably) looking in the wrong place. Girls that age (17, 18, 19, etc) are not wanting or able to make that kind of commitment (even if they think they are at the time).
And if you're just looking for a fling and a romp in the sack with a young, hot virgin then you risk being the jerk who bedded her and broke her heart that she tells her psychiatrist about later in life. Fine if you're a bastard but if you're not then this may bother you.

I am pleased to read the responses to this thread. Allow me to offer a little personal perspective. I have never disguised the fact that I am a middle-aged man. I will be fifty-one in late November. Yes, I still find young women attractive and I am not above pursuing them. My instincts tell me to draw the line at the mid-20's. A woman must be out of college (or old enough to be) before I make any advances. And she must give some clear indications that she is attracted to me first, since I don't want to play the role of a ridiculous old skirt-chasing fool. Now, in real life as opposed to books and movies, young women who dig men my age are rare. But they are out there. In the last five years or so, I've been flirted with and even propositioned outright by lovely gals in their early twenties and even late teens. (Also by a few guys, come to think of it. If I were bent that way, I could be having a fine old time.) And I'm not even rich or good-looking! Got a deep, sexy radio-pronouncer voice, but not much else going for me.

So the deal runs both ways: older folks still dig young beauties, and some people in their primes look longingly at old farts like me.
Of course, God does have a sense of humor. The one woman I really want, twenty years my junior, isn't hot for me at all. (I love you, Lord, but sometimes you make me crazy!)
