I also remember being a small child (probably still in kindergarten or 1st grade) and I was completely afraid of not wearing at least socks. And when I sat on a couch, I would fold my legs out of fear of dangling my bare feet... I always thought there was an evil witch under the couch or bed waiting to tickle me. There was a period later (a phase) where I would never NOT wear socks, and then I remember wearing my shoes to bed. For a long time. It wasn't until I was a teenager that I gave thought that being tickled could be a good thing, as long as a girl was doing it.
 
I guess if I really think about it, knowing what i know now, it has always been "sexual" as in it has caused arousal. But it wasn't until age 14-15 (yeah I know I lied about my age to join the forum way back when) that I began to fully understand what a fetish was ect.
