When Did You Realize There Were Others Into Tickling?

I will always remember the first time I realized other people liked tickling.

Way back in the day, they had those small personal ads in the newspaper. Old people like me remember them. Headlines like "SWM seeks SWF for fun times" or whatever.

Anyway, I used to find it fun to read those sometimes. There were always a bunch in the New York Daily News. I was browsing them once and there was one from a guy looking for a woman. He was a lawyer, I remember that much. But when he described what he was looking for, the last line was "very ticklish crucial."

That was when I realized other people looked for a ticklish partner.

Great topic! I remember three pivotal moments:

1) while perusing the Sexuality section at a local book store (something I did a fair bit of as a high school student in the nineties), I found a book called the Encyclopedia of Unusual Sex Practices. To my delight, it had an entry on Tickling, which I think I memorized instantly. That's the first written reference I ever read of tickling being used as a form of erotic torture with bandage.

2) also in high school I found a VHS of a fake 1960's documentary called "Mondo Freudo", claiming to show hidden-camera footage of various transgressive and sadomasochistic sexual practices, ranging from slavery to body art and mud wrestling. It was all very staged and completely bogus. One of the scenes was at a supposed Japanese S&M club where cute Asian girls stripped on stage and were then subjected to beating etc. It featured about 5-10 of a beautiful topless model being tickled on her upper body. Watching it on YouTube now, it's not very convincing, but back then the idea that someone would even fake something like that was earth shattering.

3) the World Wide Web was really gaining momentum as I started college and I remember discovering websites devoted to tickling fetish. And that was when it really hit me that I am not alone in a big way

The first time I tried to look for anything tickling-related on the Internet. Ended up on the legendary SWTickle.com. Soon I had myself a nice secret folder of printed out tickle stories.

Right before high school started, i randomly typed in Olive Oyl Feet into google. Led me to a story on tickle theater called The Georgia Peach, which referenced Olive Oyl. I remember that book. If I was alone, I would often make my way to the back of a bookstore to see if they had it.

The big moment for me was going to an adult book and video store and seeing a tickling video for the first time. This is in the summer of 1994 when I was 24. It was "The Contest" by California Star. Terrible video in retrospect, but it was all we had at the time. I had gone to these stores every now and then and never found anything related to tickling. After that moment, I started to find more and more videos.

The next moment was when I got my first internet account in 1996. That's when I found sites like Ticklemaster and usenet sites like alt.sex.fetish.tickling. A few years after that I found this site.

When I came across this site. Though when I came across this site, I wasn't into tickling as a whole yet. My thing was just bellybuttons, and I was only interesting in bellybutton tickling. This is where most producers were posting previews of their clips, and you had to be joined in order to view them. So I signed up. And as time went on, I got more into tickling in general. Bellybuttons are still my main thing and will always be my #1, but tickling is a solid 2nd.

I literally had this conversation yesterday. I was 21 and I had just gotten out of my first relationship where this was consistently present. My defining moments were those two very sexy girls from high school where one put her feet on my crotch to cheer me up and gave me a footjob after having me tickle her feet. That gave me a strong suspicion that other people were into at least some form of tickle play.
