Question/Discussion for the forum. When people see newscasters cracking up with giggles and laughter on the air.. does it get you thinking about what their laugh would sound like if being tickled?
Unfortunately, my favorite station in Philly, WPVI, blacks out their sports reports online now, due to some copyright law, etc, so I didn't see this when it happened, but.. I was watching a Youtube clip of a sportscast given by Jim Gardner's sometimes sportscaster.. Jamie Apody.. from a few weeks ago. She was discussing the Sixers.. and for some reason.. started cracking up with laughter in the middle of her report. This prompted Jim Gardner to look at her, and be like "Are you okay, Jamie, what is wrong".
One person who used to do this on a regular basis when she worked at WPVI several years ago is former weekend morning anchor Anita Brikman, especially when she would fill in with Rick Williams on weekday mornings. For whatever reason, during some reports, Brikman just started losing it with hysterical laughter. She had the most delicious sounding giggle.
Has anyone else ever noticed this?
