When you hear or read the word

Frankly, I thought Bunny Two's excessive use of emoticons was because someone was tickling her crazy when she was about to pick one, so her hand was jerking around, picking any and all on the list. No method to the madness?

It depends very much on who is saying it if I hear it (or the context of the written work if I read it).

If an ugly middle-aged nurse is attaching the leads for an electrocardiogram to my chest in the doctor's office and says, "I hope this doesn't tickle" then I would have no reaction.

If a gorgeous 20-year-old woman on the crosstown bus is talking on her cellphone and says "That pedicure I had this morning was great, but it tickled so much," then I would get an erection.

Sorry to be so shallow, but that's the way my body reacts.

I always kept these two jokes in my arsenal:

If you double take every time you see or hear the word ticket......you might me a tickler.

If money is the furthest thing from your mind when you talk about stocks and bonds.......you might be a tickler.

I tend to ride it off as just another word if I hear it in conversation, but truth be told, I'm thinking of ways to push the subject in a more subtle way. It usually doesn't work like that but meh, such is life. Definately gets my attention though.

Before I knew anything about the forum or really started to post it was something I said without really thinking about it. It was just another word in my vocabulary. I've realized that different thoughts come to mind when I hear or read it. I sometimes even hesitate a little before I will say tickle or any variation of the word.

I've never noticed like a physical reaction when I say, hear or read the word, but I do sometimes hesitate a little before I will say it or find substitutionary words so that I won't have to. I think it just has to do with having a different context than what I used to. I don't know if it is like a subconcious thing or what.

For some strange reason, hearing the word, or a variation of it, only affects me when a woman says it. When a man says it, I'm like "Yeah...Okay...Whatever...He said the word." Can't really explain what the difference is...That's just me.

I start feeling uncomfortable when I hear or read the word. Sometimes it's a good kind of uncomfortable and others it's bad. It can get so bad that just hearing the word spoken makes me feel the need to cross my legs. It also depends on the person that says it.

With all due respect; is she really hurting anybody? Everyone here has their method of expression. Grant it her way isn't the way I'd do it, and it might even be aggrevating to some, but she's not hurting anyone.

To the OP, when I see or hear the word "tickle", it usually means I've gone dry in the throat and my ears are exclusive to what is said next.

I agree with you on both counts.I listen closly to what is coming next.

firstly

if its said: self consious. i try to pretend that i didnt even hear it.

if i read it: truth be told, i usually get a couple of butterflies

if i see it, i watch, but usually i dont participate unless i know the person really well. i dont want to look odd. only a couple people know about me and thats embarassing enough! i wouldnt do anything to give myself away.
