Howdy y'all!
Yep! It's me, it's me, it's ooooooooooooooold Double T! The screen name has changed, but so have a-lot of things!
As most of you know, I lost my house, and came to this institution (Heretowith refered to as "The Resort")
Anyhoo, people keep asking, "Double, what kind of place is it?" Well, it is the rehabilitation center of the entire nursing home, and it has three floors. The first, which is called the lobby, has a front and back enrance/exit, and on either side is a long hallway, one going east, the other west. Along the west is a door that leads to a good sized physical therapy center. To the east are offices (Admin, bussiness, social work, etc), and the recreation room that has a computer.

Oy! I'm SO glad we were able to get q-ball's Dell Dimention 2400 set up here, and even though we were spoiled by cable connection at home, this dial up isn't so bad, it's taught us patientce, and we don't have to share!
But we do. Besisdes the vending machines, thats about it, so we go to the elevators, to the first floor. Again, a East and West wing. q-ball abd I reside in one West, room 108, me by the window (Where I have a panoramic view of the parking lot! 
), and q by the door. Along with other rooms, theres a dining hall, and two lounges, each having a library of sorts, color T.V., VCRs, and cd players. (Each room has T.V. and telephone, too, both for $50 a month) Not bad, but I miss all the channels. We have the networks, WOR, channel nine, WPIX, channel eleven, ESPN, channel six, and TNT, channel eight, also channels 10 and 13, news and PBS. On the second floor, where I've been only briefly, the long term residents stay, unless they are moved to the big building (The Castle), or the East wing, where, and they use the term "confused" patients, are. The Castle was once a mansion of a family that once owned most of this town. I've been there briefly, too, and it seems very nice. Our room here has the T.V.s, telephones, radiator, and we added the comp, a radio, so q can listen to the Mets lose, and a large, framed picture og Doc Gooden. There are also some lithographs, a large metal closet, a sink, and a bathroom, whitch we have to share with the adjoining room, but it han't been a problem. Of course, they feed us, and the food is good. We always have the option to order out, if we like, and there are some pretty good pizza and Chinese food places. In short, I'm clothed, have a roof over my head, a place to sleep, three squares a day, 24/7 health care, friendly fellow residents and staff (The staff LOVE us!), and, maybe best of all, I don't have to put up with those d*** bills month, after month, after month! Anyway, q and I are happy here, will be here long term. Hmmm. I wonder how they would react to a gathering?
