Thank you, Pied. But the true back-story is; the monsters are a harkening back to a creature design from an old D.C. Strange Adventures comic from the late 50's early 60's. A story called The Monster that Fished for Men. I found that creature so disturbing it stuck with me since then... more so, because it was sickeningly flesh pink.

Wow,..... disturbing is right. But thanks,... and I agree with MTJ about the background and set-up material which often accompanies your work,... and adds a whole 'nother sense of depth to viewing it. But how the hell did I miss that comic?
