Which is the best Trails of Cold steel game?

So fellow geeks and gamers out there I am currently playing Trails of cold steel 3 I have played 1 and 2 also but still in the middle of playing 3 (so please no spoilers now)

I think all three of these games are brilliant tbh and I love the story and characters and especially the battle/link system but just wondering which is your favourite out of the three? (Or the pre sequel which I never had the chance to play)

Yeah I do love the 1st an 2nd but there is something about the 3rd with seeing them older and also with the new characters that come into it and the events (which I won't spoil) but I really hope we get the 4th part released over here! Because I would love to see the conclusion of the saga!
