I am asking about the six best right now, not about guys that WERE great but have stayed around too long!

1. Tom Brady... best in the business, Instant first ballot Hall of Famer

2. Peyton Manning... No more Marino comparisons, monkey off his back now

3. Carson Palmer... to me, he very well could be the next ELITE QB in the league

4. Drew Brees... The best pick`up in free agency last year

5.Donovan McNabb... biggest question is if he will stay injury free, and how will he could back from lastest injury

6.Marc Bulger...I know people will say that he benefits greatly from offense, but he continues to produce. Most underated QB to me

Peyton - He would have always been the best even w/o the ring
Brady
Brees
Palmer
McNabb
Bulger

Top six........

1. Peyton Manning (the obvious choice)

2. Trent Green (this is the most underrated one but since 2000 his quarterback rating is only surpassed by Peyton)

3. Tom Brady (another obvious choice)

4. Ben Rothlisberger (came back too soon from his motorcycle accident..... still he had two real good years!)

5. Steve McNair ( Although he and McNabb are a close tie..... McNair appears to be less injury prone)

6. Donovan McNabb (He'd be higher if he could stay healthy)

McNair was in the discussion three years ago but now he's above average. Roethlisberger has never been a top QB. It wouldn't have made a difference when he came back, he's not that good. He benefited from the Pittsburgh D.

Peyton
Brady
Brees
Palmer
McNabb
Favre

Bulger deserves mention but he's not just yet along with Hasselback.

here is my picks (excluding Favre who is a damn legend)

1. Peyton Manning. By far, he is my favorite NFL quarterback. He is truly the best quarterback in the league. He is the most cerebral, and his skills are unmatched. He proved he can lead his team to victory by beating the #2 quarterback...

2. Tom Brady. This guy knows how to win games and if he ever had tremendous receivers, he would put up astronomical numbers. I definitely think he is the "Joe Montana" of this era. Man, imagine if he gets Hall Of Fame receivers......

3. Drew Brees. This guy has some skills. San Diego made a mistake, but New Orleans is constantly going to be a contender as long as he and Reggie Bush is there. Plus, his receivers are only going to get better...

4. Carson Palmer. I remember his high school years here in Southern California at Santa Margarita High School and he was a phenom then. It is good to see him perform at the highest level. He has a tremendous upside and it wouldnt surprise me to see him win a championship.

5. Donovan McNabb. The Eagles success usually comes from the play of McNabb. He is a leader and he has definite physical skills. Now, if he can stay healthy....

6. Rex Grossman....just kidding, just seeing if you were paying attention. Actually, i would put Matt Hasselbeck. You have to love his competitive fire and he is rising to be one of the best. I like Bulger too, but Hasselbeck i believe is better.....

Here are mine...you might be suprised a little.

1. Payton Manning...puts up stats and manages the game. Does not matter about the ring, look how long it took Elway to get one.

2. Brett Farve...regardless of the INT's and his age, he is the Green Bay Packers. Still scares defenses, and can hit a slant with the best of them.

3. Drew Brees...effortless throws with accuracy. Hard to drop a ball when it hits you just right. One of the best over the shoulder passers Ive seen since Dan Fouts.

4. Carson Palmer...Even though his happy feet were getting the better of him early, he played the position with the poise and effectiveness of an Elite quarterback.

5. Donovan McNabb...Even with the injury is still one of the best passers in the league, especially the dump off pass which is actually one of the most diffcult passes. Throws on the run better than any quarterback since Elway.

6. Tom Brady...He has 3 rings because of his ability to get the best out of the players he has around them. Probally the best big-game performer on my list.

Well there are mine.....
hope to see a lot of you guys in this years TMF Fantasy Football League. This year will be more intense now that a lot of first time players have the hang of it, and I will be seeing about making sure all of us are online for the draft.

It's really all subjective, so my list is basically the QB's that work best in thier systems and do the most for thier teams. It's really not all about stats.

Tom Brady

Peyton Manning

Matt Hassleback

Carson Palmer

Phillip Rivers

Drew Brees

I agree with you completely. I guess if I had to ask a question it would be, why stop at the top 6??? Why not the top 5 or the top 10??? Why top 6???
