CellarDweller...I never see him posting anymore, and I love him DEARLY!!!
(((((((hugs)))))))
How are you, dear?
Well, since I've been away for so long, and not posting, perhaps I should tell you what I've been up to!
Last you know, I was in a relationship with a nice guy. We started dating in April of '06. It got intense quick, and we were talking about making it permanent.
however, in November of that year, he broke it off. I was crushed, and it took a lot out of me.
I had tickled him a few times, so coming here only made me think of him, and so I stayed away.
On top of that, I also became a "global moderator" at an online forum for fans of the movie "Brokeback Mountain". The members there were quick to get very close to each other, and we became so close, that we've started holding get togethers around the U.S. (and Europe for the European members) and I've been doing much traveling.
Since the movie first came out, I've been to Florida, DC, Maryland, Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, Colorado, California, back to DC, and last month, Virginia. This month I'm back to California, and then it's to Georgia in April, Wyoming in June, the UK in June, back to California in August, and Delaware in September. I've met people from the UK, Finland, Italy, Sweden, Netherlands, Canada, France, Austrailia, and all over the US.
I've met so many great people, and done things I've never done before. Rode a horse, had a hayride, rode a cable car, hiked up a mountian.
However, it's not all been good.
One of the members (I'll call her JP) was considered the "mom" of the forum. She greeted everyone, made phone calls, emails, PMs, and got to know almost everyone. I met her at the first get togehter in Texas, and saw her no less than 10 times the past two years.
In December, she told a few close friends (I was one) that a recent exam revealed a fist sized tumor on her liver, it was inoperable. She was starting treatment to shrink it, and hoped to have it removed.
On Jan. 21st, we received word from her family that her liver failed her, and she was being placed in hospice care. The next day we got word that Heath Ledger had died. The next day, we found out that JP had died as well.
The members went into a tailspin, it was a rough few weeks for a while, but we are beginning to return to normal.
I've continued to work at my diet and exercise, while I haven't lost any more weight, I've not regained any either. Just recently joined a gym, looking forward to losing another 40 or so pounds, and get to my goal of 185lbs.
Still single, still looking! Mr. Right is out there somewhere. Just got to find him.
Two of the coolest people I've met is a guy from Georgia, and a guy from Virginia. The three of us bonded in San Fran last Sept., and they call me their "little brother". Since I'm the oldest in my family, it's cool to be a little brother for a change.
How are you doin', Love?
