Who is this artist? Shoji?

Hi all. Many years ago there was a website called Dark Water run by a guy calling himself (herself?) Sandy Beach. Sandy had a thing for women tickled by their own clothing, particularly Chinese silk cheongsam. He (she?) had written extensively about the historical (and presumably fictional) use of silk tickling cheongsam throughout Asia, as well as the present day institutional use of time activated vibrators in Japanese girl's schools (again, presumably fictional).

In addition to providing an eerily Wikipedia-like delivery of his/her sexual fantasies long before there actually was a Wikipedia (coincidence?), there were multiple image galleries:



The above 4 images were originally individual jpegs downloaded from that site way back when. I have no idea where Sandy got them originally.

WHO IS THIS ARTIST?

They are signed "Shoji" but aparently there have been multiple Japanese artists named Shoji throughout history, none of which were involved with silk tickling cheongsam or time activated vibrators (at least not publicly). Based on the style and the strategic covering of genitalia I've always assumed they were from the 1970s or perhaps a little earlier.

Does anyone know who this artist is and/or where more of these images can be found?

Unfortunately, no. I recall several Japanese sets and Japanese artists in the past decade or two that were very similar in stylization, setting, and kink... especially the use of the 'fude' (sp) Some collector on here can probably post a whole mess of this genre, once they blow the dust off their old hard drives.

Update: His name is Shoji Oki. He's been a prolific SM illustrator for decades, most active during the post-war Showa period (The period right after the second world war until the death of Emperor Hirohito in 1989). Most of his work is much darker and/or violent than the images displayed here.

Here is another image featuring the "fude" or calligraphy brush. If anyone can read what the words printed next to her say please let me know. Thanks 🙂

These have been floating around the community for some time. It so happens in fact that they were some of the very first pictures I saved from the Internet! However I always wondered who was the artist, thanks for this detailed biographic information! It is always nice to know the man (or the woman, Bohy 😉) behind the art.

FYI, there are no plural form for nouns in Eastern Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and most of their dialects), so there is never a need to add "s" or "i" or whatever. Ex: "I have eaten 10 sushi".
