Mine is the sexy smart, courageous Vicky Woodhull, born in the mid 1800's she was a woman who was before her time, a hundred years in fact; she was an advocate for free love, women's rights, and equality of all. All of which I am for. And she was a very ambitious woman she even made a run for president of the United States in the equal rights party in 1872, making her the first female presidential candidate in that nation. Her vice presidential candidate was Frederick Douglass. And did I mention that she was a sexy smart ambitious individual? Oh...yeah...

Is it wierd that I'm black and my favorite female heroine is white? Nah...maybe to my friends, but nah.

So who is yours?

See? That's what happens when somebody forgets to buy the soap.

Damn... I just barely have some soup left 🙂
I better hurry and buy few dozen of them or else my head will be on that candlestick...

Anyway, I could see her landing a berth in the favorite villainess thread(if there was one), but I dunno if she can honestly be compared to the likes of Vicky Woodhull or Joan of Arc.

Wait I think Bashiku is thinking of Ersabeth Bathory.

To get the thread back on track, I will submit:

Corrie ten Boom

This tough little Dutch woman, along with her sister and father, hid Jews and others from the Nazi's during WWII. When she and her sister were caught after several years of successfully saving lives, she and her sister were sent to the Ravensbruck concentration camp. Her sister died there of typhus. Miraculously, she was released due to a 'clerical error' and was spared of the eventual slaughter all the women there one week later.

She went on to tell her story as an evangelist around the world. Her life story is documented in the best-selling autobiography "The Hiding Place" which has also been made into a full length feature film, that recieved many great reviews. She is a great example of how God can take an ordinary person and enable them to do extraordinary things!

Thank you for that! I think I've found my new number one heroine!!!

After narrowing the field of worthy candidates, I'm going with the only logical answer.

Paris Hilton.

Wow! That IS something. I wanna see the movie adaptation now.

there were two Bloody Mary's..the one Bashiku is talking about..and Henry's daughter...who became queen of England, called Bloody Mary because of all the burnings at the stake she ordered...

my real life hero is...Mother Theresa...to sacrifice everything for the poor...i used to want to die when she did, and try and sneak into Heaven behind her...i mean they would be making such a fuss over her they wouldn't notice little old me...but alas..she is dead now..

bloody mary was the daughter of henry VIII, the one in the article was the cousin elizabeth I had executed XD

ah and that Mary was not known as bloody...she was Mary Queen of Scots..

Every single woman who has had to endure a cruelty and suffering at the hands of men is my hero.

No offense intended to the kind, lovable, gentle, and honorable men on this forum of course...^_~
1 heroine not plural!!!!

Oh pish...um...okay...my Mom, she's my hero. She had the guts to get up and testify in a courtroom against a man who raped and beat her plus she's been accepting of my lifestyle AND she was an AWESOME parent.
