Who owns the respective copyrights for "the Predator"?

I've been getting more into drawing Predator pictures like I've wanted to, and you can see the two I have right now if you want:

Anyways, my question is in regards to copyrights. I've always been a Predator fan, but I never knew who exactly holds the legal copyrights to this series.

I'm imagining its some company but when I draw my pictures, those that are fanart pictures of course, I personally prefer to accredit the original artists/conceptual artists for the creations.

I've heard of a few names, but I don't know what they personally had to do with this series.

So, does anybody know who owns the respective copyrights for the Predator series, or more specifically, who the original artist was/character designer was?

I usually don't have this problem naming names with my anime works, since I draw manga-type pictures so much, but this is one series that I'm not sure about.

I'm pretty clueless about comics and stuff, but I did a Google using:

Predator series copyright artist

no quotes, just keywords.

I got 854 quintillion hits.

Not a single one made any sense to me, but I betcha they would make lots of sense to you.

Well see, that the thing. Its more than just a comic now. Its been a comic, its had its own line of toys, its a movie series, and now theres the Alien vs. Predator movie, which is of course based on the comic series and novels.

For all I know different people may own a piece of something. I've already tried looking for specific names, but I couldn't find anything useful.

And I asked here because I remember for the AVP thread people mentioned the creators by name, and I figured that I'd get an answer this way much faster. Plus theres other fans here, so I considered that.
