Who Should Play Wonder Woman?

There is alot of talk, still, about the making of a Wonder Woman movie. I was wondering if anyone (and almost everybody does), has a pick on who should play her. My pick is Chatherine Bell from the TV show JAG. She is pretty tall, and has an exotic look. Not to mention she has trianing in the Marshall Arts so she could probably do a good job in the fight scenes. I also think her casmate from JAG would make a good Steve Trevor, and of course Lynda herself should play the Amazon Queen, but I think that is a given for most fans of the old show.

She would make a great choice for the role, I do not think however that a new Wonder Woman movie would have a big box office draw...

There are too many other charaters that have not been done yet to spend time on a character that has been done to death on tv.....

I think they should get a unknown or at least a "D" actress. In the past movies on comic book heroes or heroines did better when their wasn't so much attention put on the actor then the actual character they are playing.

But if I had to pick an actress it would be Kate Beckinsale as well.

Don't you mean Carismaless Carpenter, if anything makes me glad Joss isn't on the job it's the fact that the no talents from Buffy will not be in the movie. Other then the Red Head who played Willow none of them struck me as fantastic talents. The pics bellow tell the tale of Bell vs Bekinsale. I still say Chatherine Bell, but Kate is a decent pick too. I also agree that an unkown would be good too, but sence we don't no the names of an unknown we can't pick one... if that makes sence?

I would prefer someone like Theron as the villian. She has a very evil look to her, she would make a great... err what her name, Artamis I think is how it's spelled. Garner isn't bad either, but she had a shot at a super hero and look at how that turned out, the question is would people go to see her as wonder woman after that?

I like Catherine Bell. She's got the height ( 5'10 ) ... she's stunningly beautiful ( duh! ) ... & a fairly credible actress ( I can only assume this last point ... I've never watched JAG & have only really seen her act in a bit part in Bruce Almighty ).

However , I don't think the producers would go w/someone like Ms. Bell for a proposed movie franchise. They'd probably opt for a younger actress ... & Catherine is almost thirty-nine years old. Not a problem for me , mind you ... but ancient by Hollywood standards.

Nope. The producers of the movie will most surely pick a younger lady to fill Diana's shoes ... um , boots ( not only for the reason I mentioned above , but to also keep in line w/the fact that Wondy is supposed to be ageless/immortal or something , right? ).

Now ... my pick is definitely unorthodox. I'm not even sure how capable this woman is as an actress , but she's surely the most intriguing 'known' celebrity I can think of to play Wonder Woman.

She's got the height ( 5'11 ) ... she's got the physique/stature ... she's young enough , I think ( twenty-seven years old ) ... she's unfathomably BEAUTIFUL!!! ... she can believably pull off stunts & definitely 'get her hands dirty' by manhandling opponents ... the only cons I can think of are her acting ability ( which is a biggie , I know ) & her haircolor ( she's a natural blonde ). But , all in all , I think I'd LOVE to see this lady don Diana's duds! My choice to play Wonder Woman is :

If Stace put on about 20 lbs of muscle, and they padded her up, she wouldn't be a half bad pick. Remember back when she had her Miss Hancock gimmic, I alway thought she looked alot like Lynda during the first season of the TV show.

Everybody has a good argument here with regard to who should play the part of Wonder Woman and I have to say . . . KATE BECKINSALE no question, no debate, absolutely, has to be . . . I guess you could say I'm a little biased hear but what the heck! 🙂

My preference would be for an unknown, or at least someone under the radar, like Christian Bale for Batman. I think it's very limiting to just focus on established "A" list actresses. But yeah, Lynda Carter should play Hippolyta.
