Why bother with NFL anymore

If the pats don't win the trophy it's going to be handed to them anyway. The last two weeks prove that. Why bother.

The only thing perfect about the pats is they are the perfect reason not to watch the crooked NFL anymore.

So true. even though the last two games were nail biters, thats what makes a true championship team. they win when they have to. plus it does make the games more exciting to watch.

They have been great games I certainly hope for another one next week (Go Steelers!) but for Tom "babys daddy" Brady to stand at the podium after the game and say that a lot of calls didn't go their way in the first three quarters so the defensive holding maybe even things out is disingenuous.

The Pats had 4 penalties for 30 yards.

I still haven't found where they were called for an offensive holding penalty this entire season.

They get MORE then the benfit of the doubt and scream bloddy murder on every penalty called against them.

They have enough talent to win...I just want the games called fairly for both teams.

which calls against the ravens were bad calls? i agree the patriots were lucky with the timeout and the false start penalty on the last drive but all the holding/pass interference calls on ravens were correct. and the gaffney TD catch was a catch, he didn't bobble the ball he switched the ball to his other hand but always had possession. also the patriots have been on the wrong side of bad officiating, see the colts game.

I'm not even saying they were "bad" calls...just very well timed ones.

Please watch a game or two and tell me how holding is simply not called on the Pat's OL. Two weeks ago the left tackle had the crook of his arm around a DL's neck, pulling him backwards...Madden says "he's doing a pretty good job there of blocking"...yea, pretty good.

NE never gets called for anything and yet a false start? That the play got ran anyway? Weird.

And please, if you are really a Pat fan, stop complaining about the Colts. Your fans never complained about the refs when you owned them...not that they have won a couple games its all about the refs.

Enjoy your run...but don't complain that other teams and fans don't enjoy it too. And don't complain that something goes against you...it amke your fans no better than any others.

the patriots have fewer holding calls on them since they are usually in the shotgun formation and brady releases the ball quickly. i'm sure the refs miss some calls against their OL but not to the level of fixing as some people claim. also i was referring just to the last colts game, in which the colts clearly had a few questionable PI calls go in their favor.

The Pats have had a ton of questionable calls against them. so stop with the complaining. it all equals out in the end.

I'm confused. Your first post in the thread implied that you agreed with the sentiment of the thread. At least the "so true" part.

Regardless, I regret that I didn't watch the game last night. Figured the Ravens are terrible (they still are, despite hanging with the Pats. Same way the Eagles are still terrible) and that it wouldn't be much of a contest.

My mind is actually changing on rooting against the Pats to go 16-0. I'm starting to think I'd like to see that, then see the Colts go into Foxborough to play a 17-0 or 18-0 team and hear the deafening silence. Who knows what kind of hissy fit Belichick would throw then.

Cfl, Cfl, Cfl!!!

3 Downs to score, a wider field so you can't just run out of bounds like a bitch. The players are smaller, but that makes the for a faster paced game. Also the games are during the summer, not the winter, doesn't it make more sence to play foot ball in the summer?

Well you could at least check it out... hmmm... I'm not sure how you would, but you could look it up on the net.

Yeah, i read it wrong. i thought he meant for the rest of the league to not even bother playing cause its so obvious the Pats are going all the way.

Bullshit it all equals out. I did not know that 4 penalties for 30 yards equaled 13 penalties for 100 yards. That is complete bullshit Maniac and you know it. Fact is, there was cum coming out of ALL the officials mouths. Also, that was not a touchdown. Gaffney did not have control of that ball. How about being honest Maniac??? Oh you can't be honest... you are just like your head coach. Call it like it is...instead of you sucking on Belicheck's dick. Call it like it is. If you don't, I will tell it like it is. Nobody wants to see Miami's record broken more than me. But it is complete bullshit that the calls are completely slanted in the direction of the Patriots. I saw at least five holding calls that were legitimate calls that weren't call on your team. Be fair and be honest if you can.

It makes me sick that the NFL "stole" a game away from Sean Taylor - if you dont know what im talking about watch the game McGahee and Reed had to honor their friend....but hey 16-0 is a better story...

I heard on the news the other day, the officials reviewed their calls for the baltimore game and stand by them. this endless whining by everyone about the Pats is starting to get old. deal with their greatness! :bowing:
