why do men have it so much easier??

sure. so does that mean that all the animals talked before sin? b/c ive never heard that before... and even though it IS the mans job. God did lay out ONE specific rule. "dun eat from that tree!" so, is it the mans job to protect? yes. did the woman also know that it was not right to eat from the tree? yes. can adam be held accountable for eve's transgressions? no.

Technically...he's right.

And another point, for all of you out there stating that men have to worry about their prostates so much; women have boobs, and I know many more women who have suffered (and died) from breast cancer than prostate cancer. God bless the uroligists is all I can say. And also, women have to worry about ovarian cancer too!- though not as prevalent as prostate, yet wedo get sists, and those little suckers can develop into who knows what!
Men- have to worry about their prostates.
Women- have to worry about their ovaries and boobs!
So don't be all whiny about your one reproductive/ errogenous area you need to worry about. Women are genetically built with two - so, we kinda' beat you in that department. Sorry. 😉

The reason you've seen more women die from breast carcinoma than men of adenocarcinoma of the prostate is because the average age that men get prostate cancer is 65-69. And they often live 10+ years with the disease. Last I remember from my specialty exam, the incidence numbers are pretty close. Breast is the #2 cancer killer of women, prostate #2 for men (lung being the #1 for both.

And, prostate is the most commonly diagnosed of all the cancers. And we are making great strides against both. And, actually, their causes are quite similar...hormones!

Tyrantrave- well yes, I'll never deny that woman made the first sin, but man followed along right after her by biting the apple as well, and he should have prevented something like that from happening in the first place. >_<
kyhawkeye- jeez, I had to get someone who knew what they were actually talking about! :cross:  Personally, I didn't know all that so thank you very much for clearing up a misconception by me. Ignorance is the main killer of-everything!, and I try to avoid that as much as possible. So, once again thank you for clearing that up (at least I believe... still have x years of med school before I know for sure). 🙂
Still kinda' sucks. Men have one, women have 2+ (2 boobs, and possibly ovaries if included.)

Yikes. This is one heated debate. Honestly, I can see how you'd hate men and consider us to have it easier. But honestly, I don't see the need to bash an entire gender because some of them can't control what's in their pants. I've never supported gender bashing and still don't. The thing is, even if you are going through your cycle it really comes down to one of two things:
1: does your guy stay by you?
2: does avoid you like the plague?
If the second is true then I don't blame you for wanting to blame men for everything, and I know that what I say may not change your mind at all but I would never just dissapear for a week until the cycle was over then just reappear out of no where once it was over.

OH there is one interesting note that both genders share that is a horribly agonizing thing to go through: kidney stones. Passing one is just horrible. It is the single worst experiance I can think of. I've even asked the women of my family who have passed them and they said that child birth was easier then passing a kidney stone
(guys. Don't take excerpts from this paragraph and use is in a "yeah see, you have it easier!!!" setting. thank you)

Heh. Thank you kinda', I guess. ? Honestly, I just like to argue if I'm interested/ passionate about it, and apparently that makes me appear as a gender-bashing feminist/ possible lesbian.
Despite everything which I may have stated, and believe in, men tend to have it quite harder than most women, being built as the protector and provider originally (though not usually now :umm🙂.
I don't have PMS, and I don't have an irk against men, or have a boyfriend for that matter.
I've argued - and won- other arguments which I may disagree with, many more times, as I tend to just like the challenge and force other people to see another facet of the debate simply.
But thanks for seeming to be so concerned. 🙂

*facedesk* didn't mean that. Sorry

But thanks for seeming to be so concerned.

I am. It's just that we can sit here and debate all we want but honestly, until you know someone's situation irl you really can't say who has it easier. But yeah, there's really no black and white answer to this. This is one of those questions that will forever be stuck in the grey zone between one answer and the other.

And yeah, I've heard many comments from others that passing a kidney stone's worse than birthing a child.
I got one after I was in a coma for 3 or so weeks, and not moving lots for much longer. It was stuck in my ureter (absolute worse place!) and generally I was fine.
There were moments when morphine was like a placebo or child's candy, :eek2: and I was ralphing up a lung, but usually, God blessed me with not feeling the agonizing pain of a kidney stone.
The expression on the urologist's face when he saw the results was kind of funny though. He just stared and was shocked that I was twiddling my thumbs, waiting for where exactly I had a kidney stone, since it wasnt confirmed by the doctors yet. :cross:

And don't worry about it! Implications are made by about 97% of people based on wordplay, and what's used when. I just wanted to clarify to everyone who may be reading this that I do NOT hate men and I like men! If anyone may make the wrong assumption, though you seemed pretty unjaded Jack.

Wow that sucks. What happened to put you in coma?
And thanks, I'm not that jaded but I do over analyze situations and somtimes it makes me seem more jaded then what I am.

😉 😛 I got in a car accident, practically everything went wrong, but here I am still, about to take a University course and pretty bright by all my therapists' opinions. I had >3% of even living, have TBI (traumatic brain injury), and am to be a vegetable if I survived. But!- Here I am today!! :super_hap

Wow. That's a horrible situation to have to go through. It's amazing that you deffied (I butcherd this word didn't I?) the odds and are here today. I'm happy for you. If you believe in a higher power, it must have a plan for you.

*Blinks.*

I don't like too much conflict. If all men agreed it was tough for us I would be fine. I like to think of it as overcoming what we have to deal with and showing how strong we are. ^_^

If I disagree with you in anyway, you're going to throw a prinny at me aren't you? lol jk ^_^

I'll admit, it must be tough for women, but like I said earlier, this is just one of those situations where there will always be someone in a worse situation be they male or female.

hmmm.....ooooooooo and we all should pay for one weak female's mistake???

men...they are what's for dinner....hehehe

and what snake isn't strange?

o and FeatherDaemon....to quote from Urban Cowboy...why would we want to??? meaning peeing standing up...hehe

And maybe she wasn't weak! Maybe she was just sick and tired of Adam telling her what to do! And maybe that's why women are smarter, eh? We took the first bite of the fruit of knowledge, therefore, we are smarter. :super_hap ((Don't kill me dudes. I'm just messing with ya.)

Why is it that women have to go through all of this (as described above by Izzy) AND in many cases, men tend to think they're better than women. Stronger... Ooooo yeah... stronger! Bah. *rolls my eyes, giggling*

Honestly, I love men. But cut us some slack, dudes. Living with us is nothing like living through it.

^ you said it ...... the only thing was...snakes can talk?? or could? lol...

and the mood swings is what scares me the most..i tend to snap at people..

The comparing game - Who has it better or worse?

Considering that life is an individual experience with pain and pleasure being a matter of perspective, I think to ask why men have it easier than women is a gross generalization. I also think it isn't fair to either women or men. Do women and men have unique challenges because of their sexes? Yes. Does one sex have it easier than the other, I don't think so - they just experience things differently than the other sex.

A more positive topic would be what is cool about being a woman (or a man).

this was a vent thread..as in i'm having hotflashes..as in yes women have it worse than men..and i truly believe that..however..what is cool about being a female...well many things..i wouldn't want to be a man for ten billion dollars and five cents..i love being a female...

also..to truly understand a hotflash...run around and get really hot..then stand over a pot of boiling steaming hot water..and imagine these hitting you anytime anyplace..i'm not complaining..i am just stating some facts i believe to be true...

and well you start a why it's cool to be a man thread..or a woman..and why is the word man in woman???

I think 'man' is in the word 'woman' because Adam was made first and when he saw Eve he said, 'wow, man!' 😉 😛 And since he was given authoriry to name everything, thus our name.
~Note. Very religious view. :tounge:~

And of course we could always rename woman - get enough people to use a word and it becomes common usage.

What would you like? Grrzerbet...Sumsum... hellooo nurse!

izzy sings that old black magic has me in it's spell..
