Why Don't Men Grow Their Nails?

I happen to like longer nails on a guy; I find them incredibly sexy! I don't want them too long then it looks like he's lazy. My father always stayed on my brothers about two things; cut hair and short nails. He saw long hair and nails as a sign of "pretty boy" who didn't know how to do hard work for his money. I know it sounds strange, but we were all raised with some of our parent's quirks.

If the nails are clean, well-kept and not too long, it's all good to me .

I never was able to have long nails because I would chew them down all the time, now that I lost that habit, they grow too long. Problem is they get snagged on stuff and rip before I remember to cut them...
Sometimes a lucky girl gets to experience them...like last weekend.

It is responses like yours that fascinate and inspire me (in a good way!) i like to think of long male nails as having the potential to be strange, sexy, exotic and evil... all at the same time. It is true that men don't usually have good digits for growing long nails, but in principle, being male does not automatically mean short nails.

It is responses like yours that fascinate and inspire me (in a good way!) i like to think of long male nails as having the potential to be strange, sexy, exotic and evil... all at the same time. It is true that men don't usually have good digits for growing long nails, but in principle, being male does not automatically mean short nails.

I've known my share of men who wore longer nails; men's nails seem to grow faster than women's (IMO). I even remember as a little girl singing in church choir and watching my pastor quickly clip his long nails before preaching. I was simply fascinated watching him do it!

On another note, I've had lovers with slightly longer (not female-length) nails; it changes the "experience" about 100-fold for me! Woo-hoo....

Well, to be honest, I have a much stronger nail fetish than I do a tickling fetish. That's actually where my love of tickling came from in the first place. So I agree with you- nails tapping or scratching on anything (even a chalkboard) can "fire me up" as well. 😛 Except when I see a guy with long nails, I don't automatically think about being tickled. The first reaction is more like ohhhh my goodness...that is so sexy! Lol. I've been with men that had long and short nails and I must say that I've NEVER had one not know what he was doing and scratched me. If a man doesn't know what he's doing, long or short nails arent going to matter are they?

Perhaps a happy medium...? I mean, literally? As long as he doesn't go overboard, even just an eighth of an inch past the fingertip is definitely worthy of a certain amount of writhing on the 'lee's part, you know. Plus, you don't have to be a metro to get a manicure, either--it's actually quite a pleasant experience...and gives you a perfect excuse to sit and watch while the pedicures are going on, too.

Just view them as tickle-tools you can get through airport security anyplace with no problems...

Hahaha, well I understand that, Rock. I like to have longer nails, but I play the piano and cello, so during the school year I have to keep them fairly short. Of course for guitarists, there is finger picking...just a suggestion 😛

Until this NEST, I didn't pay much attention to the 'ler's nails. When SpotmanC trims his nails, they are kind of sharp at first, and as a 'lee that's exciting. But 'lees let me tell you, I was tickled by ten of the nicest, well cared for nails at this year's NEST and they drove me out of my mind! I am encouraging SpotmanC to get regular manicures. I never imagined that a man's ('lers') nails could make such a difference, but I'm sitting here twitching just thinking about it! Viper, I'm sure that you're savvy enough to know when to use fingertips vs fingernails to the greatest advantage. Guys, if you're 'lers, grow those fingernails!

Thanks for all the vast opinions concerning this topic. I too once believed a male with long nails was girlish or feminine. That was when I was younger and believed what my elders told me. Now I know a male can be just as masculine with nails as they are without them. It comes down to personal preferences.

I have some degree of nail growth....but certainly not the kind of growth that would be remotely deemed as freakish, or unsanitary in scope. Let's just say they're long enough to where if I arc my fingers just so, a female would certainly feel them along her soles...and I don't let 'em grow beyond a certain length.

Besides, I've just got a thing about men with longer hair or nails than me. It does nothing for me. I mean, to each his own, I just don't find the longer haired, long nailed thing as attractive.. Call me weird... or whatever...
