Why is gang/group tickling not more common?

I was recently talking to a BDSM friend of mine about a similar topic. He is very involved in sensory deprivation/overload.
When it comes to multiple Dominants, Lers, Tops, etc, when is it too much?
The old "less is more" can become a factor, especially when it comes to tickling and other extreme play.
The fantasy of many, many Lers on one Lee, can actually have the opposite effect if you are wanting a sustained, intense, session.
The Lee can become overloaded or desensitised when multiple spots are tickled at the same time.
Tbh I prefer 2-3 Max, moving around and creating a never ending cycle of tickle torture taking care not to overload any particular area.
But that's just me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I like the premise of 3 or 4 ticklers and then everyone takes a turn of being the ticklee. I think the anticipation/revenge for the last ‘lee could be intense.
