..why the love of tickling? is it that we love to make other laugh in any possible way? or is it something more sinister (sorry couldn't think of another word) and tormentative? That we like to force other to laugh when then dont-always-want to?

I've found that it isnt just tickling for me, making people laugh is something I just love to do. It lets me feel like I'm connecting with the person more and it's just plain fun. Oh, but the tickling is also a bit sexual to me as well, whereas just making them laugh by telling a joke is not of course. I mean, jesus, if a girl wants the key to my heart, they just need to let me tickle them a lot! 😀

Oh yeah getting down to the thing with torture, I'd have to say it depends on the person and situation. Say I'm out with some friends in public. I dont just like jump down on someone, pin them to the ground, and start tickling them. It'd probably be more of a sneak tickle. But if I was with someone I like at my house or something, sitting on a couch, I can definatly go for a bit of torture, but tickle fights are fun too.

These replies do not answer the question, these replies are more of a "WHAT do we like" about tickling more than "WHY do we". I say this because to put it simple there is NO answer as to why we like tickling. This question is up there with questions such as "why are we here?". Yes we do know WHAT excites us, WHAT aspects of tickling we like, we know WHAT turns us on, but we dont know WHY our bodies are sexually stimulated when exposed to these kinds of things, and for those who dont see tickling in a sexual way but more playfull, still we know it excites us and WHAT aspects of it excites us but not WHY our excitement goes through the roof when tickling is concerned, just that it does.

WHY Do I LOVE TICKLING?

:happy: I really have no idea. Since I am not really a tickler,I cannot speak to anyone who loves the excitement of inducing laughter. Yet, I really enjoy being tickled and hearing myself explode in laughter, especially when a sensitive spot is explored. There is nothing like the feeling of a properly positioned feather in between my toes, or the gentle, yet, maddening stroke of fingers across my sensitive bare soles. I have asked myself that for years and am not sure that I am closer to an answer than before. But I do want to add a few thoughts.

Question 1: Is it hereditary or environmental?
Answer 1: Neither, as far as I can make out. Tickling played no part at all in my family nor was I tickled as a child that I can remember. But I have always been fascinated by it, wanted to do it and later, was turned on by it. So it seems to belong to an essential part of my individuality, of who I am. And that, also, is why I ask the question - because I want to know what makes me who I am!

Doing it to someone ............................Having it done to one
On top..............................................Underneath
If we look at the above table of polarities, we can place ourselves somewhere on that scale, both between the polarities horizontally and in a position of degree vertically. I mean, because I like to be on top, that does not yet make me a sadist, but there is a leaning in that direction rather than in the other - it is a question of degree.

Question3: Fetishism. Having a sexual fixation about a particular body part or a particular action. Most people have such a thing, but a fixation on breasts or ass or legs or sexual organs is considered normal, so is not mentioned much. But the bulk of all porn caters to these "fetishes," rather than to others. And if I am turned on by the mere thought of sex, or a sightly example of one of the above, I am considered normal rather than if I am turned on by the smell of my girlfiend's socks.

Question 4: Where do we look for answers?

Well, I can think of three areas. 1. Why, and how, did God make me this way?
2. How does if come about that may brain and nervous system show this kind of utterly individual configuration? 3. Reincarnation- what happened to me in past lives on the earth to give me this particular soul constitution?

And there I will leave it, for I have not arrived at the point where I have more information. Sorry!
