I think one reason is because of the wide diversity of people that share our interest. You've got straight people, gay people, vanilla people, kinky people, black, white, rich, poor, young, old, smart, stupid, considerate, obnoxious, Americans, Canadians, Europeans....all collected in this one forum, all bound together by a single interest in tickling.locker669 said:Do people get upset at someone else over the internet? LindyHopper said:Well, they get upset with other people over the internet because they get very invested in their own actions and opinions, and those of other people (believe me, I know a thing or two about this! 😀 ). And then they talk about it with vague descriptions because calling people out by name is against the rules of this forum. Pretty straightforward, if you ask me.

and if i ever do get upset with someone online, i'll take care of it between that person and myself in private...
but arguments should never be carried on in a public forum..
No, I can't think of any reason to do something like that. But let me poke around a bit, and see if I can stumble on what you're really asking...locker669 said:If you had a fight with your neighbor and they stopped talking to you, would you take out a page in the paper saying how your angry at someone because they did or didn't do something?

Some people post "rants" on the TMF, because something or someone in their real life is bothering them. Blowing off steam in this way, and getting support from people who listen and understand, can help them feel better.
If the person they're angry at is on the TMF, then they might post a rant in the hopes that that person will see it and feel some remorse for whatever they supposedly did wrong. I kind of doubt that ever works, but I can see why people who are hurt and upset might feel inclined to do it.
). Sometimes I'm in a mood and will joust and sometimes I purposefully ignore whoever is taunting because I know they're looking for someone to fight with. I'm hoping Slaver knows by now that I've lost interest in fighting for fight's sake even though he'll point to me every now and then. I must admit we can make terrific adversaries when I give into temptation

kis123 said:It's the internet folks, we're in cyberspace and as Izzy said; it's highly unlikely that we ever meet in person. Even though most of you would be met with hugs and open arms (even you Slaver) there are some that I would shake hands with a rattlesnake before I touched them first.
I know, ain't I a stinker??😉
