A good way to finish off the World Cup, it was really good to see Kahn in goals; his performance showed the world he still has it, making 4-5 good saves - now I am left with this bitter taste what if Kahn was playing against Italy?

The squad is very young, players coming back from injury and two years is a lot time for a superstar to come out of no where. I think Euro '08 is ours.

Yes, congratulations Italy! After all, it's less of a shame for the German team to have lost to the world champion... 😉

But there's one thing I'm infinitely more grateful for: The tournament remained peaceful throughout. Just a few minor problems with the British hooligans in Stuttgart, but they were held in check.

Another thing that I'm glad for: It's over!!! I work for the Tourist Information in Munich, and you can't imagine how stressing the last weeks were for me and my colleagues. Even the nights were filled with noisy fans all over the city. Now I'm gonna take a deep breath, that's for sure.

Also, it seems that I can look forward to a job again. My current job was on a work-for-welfare basis, but it seems I made myself indispensable during the last year (and mostly during the last few weeks), so my superiors agreed to keep me. I haven't got it in writing yet, but my boss informed me that the city council just has to approve the contract. With this, a five year period of unemployment could end! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Yes I agree, from what I have seen of Zidane over the years he has been nothing less then a good role model and a good ambassador on and off the pitch and I wouldn't be surprised if it was provoked.

Lets talk about match fixing? This isn't the first time Italy won the World Cup during a match fixing investigation; remember 1982? Remember Rossi? Coincidence? I think not.........

Please when bringing football history make sure yours has some credibility.

Nobody scored against us in an action. We scored against every team we met. All the matches have been intense and we have done more shoots on target than any of our opponents in every match. In those matches we have been superior to both Germany and France. Period.

So, instead of bullshitting around, try to put your mind at ease for at least the next four years, pal. Then y'all have your chance to revenge.

Yeah... and btw... to have a fake penalty u must enter penalty area... it's 16 years that germany doesn't enter one. And about match fixing... do u remember Italy - South Korea in 2002 World Cup? We have no power in FIFA (and we won against them too).

16 years....I doubt that. Germany had the best attacking side this World Cup - I dont know if you saw Klose winning the 'golden shoe' and Podolski coming equal second?

Korea 2002 - every one got fucked over and yeh it was a joke.

Anyway congrats to Italy it always good to win the cup and as you said I will be waiting 4 years and Euro to get something back. I am just cut that we lost, I would prefer to talk to you about football rather then having an argument with ya.......anyway look at this a sort of a peace offering.

i know how sad is losing a world cup, expecially when u have a good team like germany had and u are playing at home (i remember Italy '90).

and btw i love germany... i visited Koln two years ago and it's a wonderful city i will always remember... i love the way germans organize their public lives and everyone in Italy says that this World Cup had a great organization...

Sadly i support Juventus... and i'm ashamed of all these bad things happening around my team... by watching this world cup u can see how juventus players were great (just think about Buffon, Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Thuram and Vieira for example) and we didn't have any reason to do tricks to win... so we deserve to be sent to second division now and i hope we will be great again soon...
