Well here it is almost 1:00AM in the Midwest and Puig just singled in Muncy for a 2-2 tie and we are headed to the 14th inning. Muncy reached 2nd on a pop foul that sent Nunez into the seats allowing Muncy to advance and then scored on a wild throw to first trying to retire Puig. I'm sure you people on the east coast are a little blurry-eyed if you are still awake watching this. According to Joe Buck "We are still going." Game started at 5:10 local time and it is now 11:05 PM, so the game is going on 6 hours!

The Dodgers are down to David Freese on the bench and the Red Sox have only a pitcher available. I am looking at the remaining games and it says Game 4 starting LATER ON TODAY at 7:09PM. That puts a lot of pressure on both teams, both on the personnel and how to use their bullpens. They just held the 14th inning stretch.

I realize this is Friday evening and so the game, for broadcast and rating purposes, it is in the evening, but ending (or not) at 2:00AM EST is ridiculous, especially if they are playing games back to back. Joe Buck just announced that this ties for the longest game in post-season history as far as innings and longest game in terms of time. He even said "I'm too tired to do the math." I agree, I'm almost too tired to watch.

It's 2:30AM CST, seven hours, 20 minutes after it started, Max Muncy hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 18th to end game 3, uh 3a. The longest post-season game in terms of innings and time, IT"S FINALLY OVER!!!

Now both teams have 16 hours to recoup before they start game four later on today. I'm going to bed!!!

I was shocked when I read how long the game went.

I did not watch it, but was hearing updates until I went to bed at like 2 am.

As BBGuy said, lucky for both teams that they do not have a day game today. They can recharge themselves before playing tonight.

The last time I was this infuriated by a game was when watching Aaron Boones homerun juuust go fair. All the respect in the World to Eovaldi, but oh my god wtf was that little league bullshit display by everyone else?!

Poor Eduardo Nunez had a really bad game. He gets upended by the Dodgers catcher on a pitch inside. He had to take a few seconds to gather himself after sliding trying to beat out a ground ball for a single. Then he takes a tumble into the stands on a foul pop-up which allowed Muncy to move into scoring position and eventually tied the game on the error on Puig's single in the 13th.

Wonder if he's telling Alex Cora to take him out of the line-up for today's game.

I was at the Dodger Stadium gates when they opened at 2:10pm local time.
I stayed until ten minutes after the game ended, which was 12:30am the next morning.

It was a wonderful game, in that the Dodgers won. :bouncybou
