Worst Zombie Movies You've Ever Seen?

NOTLD acting was decent IMO for the time period. All acting at that point seems a bit cheesy by today's Hollywood standards.

BTW anyone else have the DVD version of NOTLD that has Night of the Living Bread on it? This little spoof features people being attacked by slices of white bread.

Ohhhhh...... I bought the DVD of 'The Slaughter' for £1, so I suppose I asked for it, really. Completely rubbish in EVERY way. 🙂

Being an absolute freak over zombie movies, I have to say that House of the Dead was god awful. I'll tell you why: Uwe Boll made it. Uwe Boll is the antithesis of King Midas. Everything he touches turns to shit. The only thing he's done that I approve of was when he beat up Richard Kyanka, the founder of somethingawful.com. Seriously, it was a legitimate boxing match.

Watch, and laugh. :lol

UGH! Uwe Boll is completely horrendous, and the worst part is that he thinks that he's actually a good director! HA!

and whenever he get's critically stomped on by other directors...he challenges them to boxing matches to prove who the "better director" is! What ever happened to just making a good movie? 😀

I have to say the worst I've seen just has to be his House of the Dead... he completely trashed the whole premise of the game it was based off of... I knew it was bad, but I had forced myself to watch how bad it was one late night in my dorm room... it's atrocious in every degree...

Now the BEST zombie movie that I've seen that was intentionally made to look B movie "grind-house" style was "Planet Terror (2007)"... It's so hilariously funny in most parts and grisly in others. Everything you're looking for in a B-movie style Zombie flick. I seriously enjoyed it... 😉

Yeah house of the dead was the worst 2 was a little better

I liked it too. Planet Terror is just a fun movie.

Although.. for a zombie movie to be "true" me, it has to be somewhat rooted in reality. While I didn't like the fact that zombies in the Dawn of the Dead remake were all marathon runners, I liked the situation the people were in, and how they dealt with it. That gave it a realistic quality. I can't say I would have done the same though. Maybe I would hit up a store for supplies, but then I'd leave the area all together. Trapping yourself in a mall in a zombie-infested town is advertising yourself as food. 😉

Anyone ever see those old Grindhouse classics, like "Flesh for Frankenstein"? It was so wonderfully awful, that it redeemed itself in comedic value. There were only two zombies in it, too. It was mostly just people being weird.

I have got to get around to seeing Planet Terror(and I Eat Your Skin, for that matter).

ok.. a zombie movie is defined as a movie about an undead creature, like the kind that shuffles like Frankenstein's monster and goes "braaaaaaaaaains..... braiiiiins?"

In that case, I nominate "Battlefield Earth."

Don't know if you all heard this, but George A Romero's latest zombie movie is going to be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival.

It's called "Survival Of The Dead".

On an island off the coast of North America, local residents simultaneously fight a zombie epidemic while hoping for a cure to return their un-dead relatives back to their human state.

Here's a link to the trailer on YouTube.

Thanks for the tip, CD! I haven't followed the link yet(there's a sick kitteh in the room that need it's sleep), but I can only pray it's better than his Diary of the Dead. The premise sounds a tad like a story called "Home Delivery" in Stephen King's Nightmares & Dreamscapes collection of short stories.

I remember that story. I used to be a big Stephen King fan, and had most of his paperback books.

Why pray tell? Because statistically speaking, say all of humanity was turned into human-blood drinking mutants vampires at the end of year (A). Within three whole years AFTER year (A), all of the vampires would have quite literally died from lack of blood!

Personally they all pretty much suck to me..not a zombie fan i'm afraid..i have too many people dead in my life..hate to imagine them walking around like the undead..

House of the Dead 1 and 2 both made me want to dry heave.

i agree. they took an awesome game franchise and tore it a new one with that awful excuse for a movie. then did it all over again for jollies.

Wait. Was House of the Dead II the one where the commandos have to return to some research lab on a college campus that's been overrun flesh-hungry undead?
If it was, I actually dug that one right up until the third act. :death:

i do believe it was. surprisingly enough, i thought it was a total disaster.

:ggrin: Near-total for me. I loved the whole premise. They just couldn't deliver. I'm terribly forgiving for the genre-as-a-whole.

Incidentally, I just read today that there's another Resident Evil movie (in Paris!) in the works for 2010.

OH LORD MY EYES! MY FUCKING EYES! I SAW IT! I SAW ONE OF THE MOST HORRIBLE ZOMBIES MOVIES LISTED ON HERE. I SAW DIARY OF THE DEAD!

It scared me, it scared the ever loving shit out of me! It was so bad I do not think I will ever see a good zombie movie again. Thats it, that is just it. What, what was that suppose to be!? Oh man how horrible can you be?

Snow joke!

Just thought I'd add my voice to your zombie debate, being another collector of zombie movies lol Firstly, I'd say my personal fave was 'Sean of the Dead' but i'd also recommend Dead Snow. I was pretty disappointed that i had to watch it with english subtitles, apart from that it's very good and worth watching!!
