first off, i apologize if there has already been a thread of this topic, i couldn't find one.

If you could take a pill and be relieved of your tickling/foot/etc. fetish and have normal sexual desires, would you?

it can be hassle to find love if your fetish is in the way, and i hear some wanting it to be gone, and with medical science improving, it may be possible in our lifetime.

For me, i simply love my foot/tickling fetishes. it helps define me and spices up relationships. i love it very much and would never get rid of it.

anyone else dislike their fetish and want it gone? why?

Since I have "normal" sexual desires and don't necessarily need tickling for my sex life, I don't need it to go away. It wouldn't change my life too much except making it less interesting. 🙂

I kinda like my obsession with tickling. Compared to other forms of "deviant sexual behaviours", tickling is comparatively tame.

No. I've found more problems within the community, than with my fetish, to be honest.

Nope. Part of who I am.
I'd hate to be normal coz I'd be as boring as hell

Yes. its killing my social life.

can't you have a social life without tickling and still have your fetish?

i'm not condesending you, but i have friends and such totally separate from tickling and it all works out for me. as i said before, i understand it's hard getting a girlfriend who likes tickling as much as you do, but to me, it's only 1 con compared to many pros.

In a word, no. I have come to accept myself for what I am and have no desire to alter my erotic interests and tastes. 😀

I would actually like to get rid of my fetish for like, a day.

Just to see what it's like to not love tickling. Like, if I would be a different person, or not.

In a way.

But, I do like the quality that I have a thing for tickling, so I wouldn't give it up completely.

There was I time when I'd say yes, definitely. I think now, I'd just want to dial down its prominence in my sexual landscape, not get rid of it entirely.

Oh, come on. Everyone in the world has a fetish in some way.

It's perfectly normal to like breasts, legs, asses...the only reason no one calls those 'fetishes' is because they're so common. But liking feet is different?

If you like anything about sex that isn't just about penis-goes-in-vagina, then technically you have a fetish. If you like watching a girl strip for you, you have a stripping fetish. If you like oral sex, that's a fetish (sodomy, by some definitions). If you like to kiss during sex, that's a fetish too.

So would I give up this particular one? Not a chance. Don't be ashamed of what you like! 😀

Due to the fact that I do not consider it a fetish, I do not need to get rid of it. The world does not revolve around tickling,...for me. Its just a little separate part of the whole life of mine.

I don't think so. I do like to listen to biologists and psychologists for insight that might help me understand it better, though.

Even though I think that there could be some ironic tone between your lines "Coda", I would like to know how a biologists helps understanding the thing about tickling? I know some human biologists...but...

... so do u mean they gonna tell u somethin about the nervous system?

Sounds kinda funny and interesting to me... cuz most of those things are kinda self explanatory except for some psychologists views. 🙂

There's a movie called "The Cracker Factory", most of which takes place in the women's ward of a psych hospital. Some folks from AA come to the ward to talk to the patients. One of them introduces herself as "a recovering alcoholic." The patient (played by Shelly Long, btw) says, "Yeah, well, I'm a nymphomaniac, and if I ever recover, I'm going to commit suicide!"

That's kind of how I feel about my fetish.

Great question.

Sometimes I do think that I would give it up, if I had the choice. There are many circumstances where I meet a gorgeous girl, intelligent, well-spoken, who I would think is the ideal girl, but upon finding out that she's not ticklish (I find these things out right away with innocent conversation), I lose interest. I wish that wasn't the case, and it shouldn't be, but it is.

Then again, the other 90% of the time when I'm tickling the other gorgeous girls that ARE (insanely) ticklish, then I'm happy I have the fetish. 😉

I've grown to like my fetish. It makes me feel unique and I like that. Plus, I don't know what it feels like to not like tickling and be turned on my other stuff like other people, so life probably wouldn't be as fun. Plus plus, people playfully tickle me a lot and I wouldn't want to go through life disliking it.

Yes, I'd take the pill in a heartbeat.

I'm beyond tired of having this interest and related urges when I have no outlet for them. It's just plain frustrating. If I met a girl who liked to be tickled and let me tickle her, then I would have an outlet and I would most likely change my mind. Since that never happens thou, I'd be content to just be rid of it all.

Not a chance in hell would I give it up. And for many different reasons.
