I'd get rid of it in a heartbeat.

I don't say that because I think there's anything wrong with kinks or fetishes in general, or tickling in particular. They're harmless so long as they don't motivate destructive or disrespectful behavior. I'm also not enough of a fetishist to require tickling as part of my intimate relationships.

That doesn't make it any less a nuisance. No one in my RL knows I have the fetish. I've never even broached the subject with a significant other.

Liking something that most people hate, or at best barely tolerate, really sucks.

My fetish makes me unique. All but one significant other has either indulged it or outright loved it. And its just too much fun.

I think it depends on one's comfort level with a tickling fetish.

I've noticed that in alot of threads where someone describes their first gathering experience, they mention that they worried it was gonna be awkward or uncomfortable but it didn't turn out that way. These people, I'm willing to guess, would be more likely to answer 'no' to the OP's question.

In contrast, I believe people who are just beginning to investigate this fetish would be more likely to answer 'yes.' My reasoning is based on my own experience: I was hella insecure about tickling a few years back, but have been warming up to my fetish the more I hang around this website.

I suppose, at my first gathering, I'll be able to test my hypothesis.

I'll admit things might be easier for me if I could look at an attractive woman, walking down the street or a waitress in a restaurant or whatever, and think "I'd like to stick my penis in her vagina" the way vanilla guys do. But I can't imagine that being as much fun as tickling her!

While I can't deny the massive difficulty my fetish/paraphilia has given me through out my entire life. I know how much easier it would be not to have it. It makes me feel very alone a lot of the time. But the reality is I would still say no. I loathe the idea of giving up some thing I love just to please other people, and essentially that's what I'd be doing. I've also found I learn a lot about some one by how accepting they are of my kinkiness. I wouldn't want to take my judgmental-bitch detector away now would I?
