Holy cow, who could have predicted that ending to today's two 2nd afternoon games?? (well, I did in the football pool, but I digress 😀 )

Packers playing Denver, Minnesota playing Arizona. Logically you would expect that Denver, being the awesome team they are, would beat Green Bay. And you would expect that Minnesota would be the sub-par Cardinals. But apparently the football Gods have a sense of humor. A loss by either Minnesota or the Packers would mean their elimination from the playoffs. A win for either of them would clinch the division championship, and a playoff berth. However, if BOTH teams won, the honors would go to the Vikings.

Being a die-hard Packer fan, today was nothing short of a heart attack for me. Who could have imagined that the Packers would totally cremate the Bronco's? And who could have seen the Cardinals pulling out an AMAZING last second win again Minnesota?

All resulting in the ever gratifying fact (for me, anyway), that the Packers have clenched the NFC North Division Championship, and they are off to the playoffs, BABY! And the Vikings have been ELIMINATED from the playoffs! W0o0o0oh0o0o0oo!

WOW! What a day!!

Mimi 😀

As a Vikings fan, I'm on the other end of the emotional spectrum here. Actually, I could have predicted the Packers over the Broncos, as Denver is resting the important starters with nothing to gain or lose. I NEVER saw the Arizona thing coming. The last 4 minutes of that game were a nightmare. They even got the onside kick! How do you give up an onside kick with the playoffs on the line? Even though I'm a big fan, I have to say that if they're going to play like that, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

On the plus side, my other fave teams (Seattle and Indy) got in and the Cowboys LOST! Told you. The 'Boys should enjoy the playoff hype while it lasts, 'cuz thier going to be out in the first round. Parcells did a good job, but they played a last place schedule and suck on the road.

And how about Detroit beating St. Louis and handing home-field to Philadelphia. I hope the Rams lose early, I don't want to see a Pats/Rams rematch so soon.

WOW?????................

.....a great day??? I dont think so love, we lost four nil at home to Norwich. Bloody great.

I'm glad the pain is over for us in Chicago.

Have fun, I'm done watching football.

Come on baseball season!!!!!

i was hoping Green Bay would make the playoffs. how can you not like Brett Favre?

The Broncos Are Not...

An awesome football team. At best they're a tiny bit above average in a below average league.

Anything could happen in the nfl. Turnovers, players not on the top of their games, bad calls from the refs.

not an expert, ...but...

Well, Mimi...I have to say straight up I'm an Eagles fan, being Phillie is close to my home of birth and childhood. BUT...my favourite bartendress at my favourite pub is a true Packers fan, and between the two of us we have figured it out and have made a pact.

You see dear, we've figured out it's all about the CHEESE !!! CheeseHEADS...CheeseSTEAKS !!!

SOOooooo...her and I agreed, if the Packers take it all the way, I will pull for her. If the Eagles take it all the way, she will pull for me. Fair enough, right ?

If they wind up having to play against each other...well, I guess her and I are in a helluva fix then, aren't we ????
Cheese'n Wurst's 'n Cheesesteaks at the tailgate party anyone ??? *free samples of ExLax and All-Bran a few days later, to break up that brick of cheese that has formed up in your colon*

Although I live in Texas now, I have never been, nor ever will be, a Cowboys fan, even though I met Tex Schramm personally and had a great time gambling on horse races with the man (this was AFTER he sold the team). However, I have ALWAYS admired Bill Parcells.

The Vikings deserved to lose that game...they played like schoolgirls....shite..!!

I was the only one to pick Cleveland over Cincinatti in our pool at work. I had to...I got laid in Cleveland (and for those that are asking themselves the question, yes, she had lovely feet and also liked to have them tickled)...LOL !! However, I was also the only one to pick the Giants over Carolina (never had much luck with NYC or southern girl's), so I guess one cancels out the other...LOL again..!! (but you gotta love those mid-western and PA girls...aye?)

This was fun...!!

I knew my sheet for the week was screwed after Saturday's games. The only reasom (Mimi) I rooted for the Packers cause of Favre's old man dying. That's the only time I'll do it. The hell season for the Bears is over (thank God) so, its now time to watch my Cowboys wreck shop this playoffs. AMERICA'S TEAM IS BACK!!!!!!!😀
