My theory is that wrestling as lame as it is now, will possibly be getting better. They are slowly but surely unifying all of these "double" titles. First the Tag Team Titles and now they are doing something with the divas titles...could this mean eventually unifying the WWE and World Titles? forever ridding us of that ugly ass piece of shit spinner title that they have dragged on for far too long?? I sure hope so! lol. Idk for sure...I mean I could be completely wrong, but I wanna know what the rest of the TMF community thinks. I shouldnt have to say this, but in the event you dislike wrestling, thats fine but please dont make a federal case our of it...just give appropriate feedback so we all can have a nice discussion

Thanks

paul heyman said it best when he said it just isnt cool to be a wrestling fan. The wwe is marketed towards the little kiddie crowd. They put the company on john cen'a back. I guess cena is the modern day hulk hogan.

I think rvd is done with tna which sucks. I dont know how best to explain nobody wants to see old ass talent in the ring. Hogan is done, sting is done, I want to see fresh young talent.

I'm not surprised about the tag team championship unification. From my understanding, Vince has never been a big fan of tag teams. Not to mention, there isn't much of a worthwhile tag team rivalry, nor has there been for a while, these days. What are there, like three tag teams, total? It's the age of the individual superstar and their ego, which is fine, I suppose. Tag teams are now more of a source of starting conflicts among friends, and making "busier" matches.

As far as the other titles, I don't want to see them unified. Though "brand" is not really an emphasized aspect of the show anymore, I'd hate for the format to go back to having all significant story advancement to happen on Raw, while Smackdown would be one step above a non-televised house show, with nothing significant happening. To me, that would be a waste of my DVR slot. Having separate titles allows storyline advancement to happen on both shows, and gives more talent exposure in the limited two-hour time slot.

As far as the WWE championship being ugly, I miss the old "Stone Cold" title and the deliberately trashy-looking "Hardcore" title 😀 , though near the end of its run, it was a parody of itself. I kinda wish the U.S. title would change, because THAT title looks cheap.

Attitude era was the best imo, titles had a great style and look and the wrestlers had fantastic mike and ring skills. Not alot of talent out there these days, cena is pathetic. Only ones i really enjoy watching are The Miz, Taker, Kane

'F4WOnline.com is reporting that WWE intends to unify all of its titles within the next year. As seen several week's ago, WWE has already unified the Tag Team Titles, and it was announced on Raw last night that there will be a women's title unification bout taking place at the Night of Champions PPV.

WWE's eventual goal is to have one Intercontinental Title and one World Title in the company, with the World Title unification match taking place at next year's WrestleMania.'

Unifying all titles is the wisest thing to do - IMO. Champions should compete on both brands. It will open the titles up to fresher, more abundant fueds.

Agreed, for the most part. I wonder, though, if they might consider adding another singles belt to go alongside the WWE and Intercontinental titles. Otherwise, that's a lot of midcard-types potentially left out in the cold.

see this is smart thinking...i hope your right on this. Of course with the PG era going on we wont see the return of the hardcore championship...but maybe they will bring back the cruiser weight title or something.

I don't really see them bringing the cruiserweight title back. I also think you're right that the hardcore title is pretty well dead in the PG era, and the European belt became a joke pretty quickly so I doubt we'll see that either. If they end up creating an entirely new belt, perhaps a version of the TV championship would work, only under a different name. I never understood the prestige of being crowned champion of all televisions. 😉

Remember back in the day when the ic belt meant you were going to be getting a huge push up the ranks. Now the belts dont meant shit. They have a great heel like randy orton and a retarded heel named sheamus. You know your wrestling federation is all fucked up when the title holders arent even the main event at major ppv. God bless bret hart but i seriously dont want to see him in the ring. Sometimes your physically and mentally done.
