This week on WTF, learn how to cook some really tasty drinks, how to fold the perfect orange, and a crash-course in the art of table-shaming.

1. Daniel has an unfortunate experience.

2. Simon says "I'm too damn good for rules."

3. Howard is having a very bard day.

4. There's an extremely pubtle sun here...

5. Trouble at the palace...

Enjoy your meal.

LOL, the last one is the funniest. Your strips could use some variety though. Its almost always about someone getting suckerpunched, melted, exploded, beaten up, or chased around.

How sharper than a serpent's tooth is a bullet out of William Shakespeare's gun! And any day I can watch a guy melt like candle wax is a good, good day for me!

Yeah, I often think that. Unfortunately, so few of these are planned (the only one I planned first this week was Queen Elizabeth II laying the beats down, which I promised last week). The way my mind wanders, it's no wonder nearly every strip ends in chaos. 😛

LOL!! That's from King Lear. 😛 Thanks for the comments, LBH!

You don't want to wear out these sort of themes too quickly. You may consider other subject matter. I doubt you want your strips to become redundant and monotomous.

sort of makes me think of perry bible fellowship but at the same time not

The "Yeah, but he's got a gun" line was a literal LOL for me. 😀
That's one tough Queen. God Save the Poor Assassin. 🙂
As far as strips becoming redundant, I don't know. If they are free form and not planned, maybe you either plan, or you have to do 15 rough drafts then finish and submit the best 5. The 15 rough drafts are like brainstorming on paper rather than mentally.
I forget who said it "Drama is easy, comedy is hard."

Thanks for the comments, everyone! 😀

What happens with the vast majority of the strips is that I get an idea in my head, work out briefly what goes in each frame, and then draw it. Any mistakes I correct once I've scanned it, so there are no second/third drafts. Also, despite briefly planning the story, I often change it a bit as I go along, with different text, different pictures, and sometimes completely different outcomes (the Shakespeare one was originally going to be a photorealistic lynch-mob of angry men in business suits).

I will have to throw in a bit more variety, though. Any suggestions? I mean, should I make it more/less surreal, less violent, less "jumpy" (set charaters rather than Average Joes)? Looking forward to any ideas from anybody. 🙂

Haha Senshi I just noticed ur answers on ur profile lol location: "nearly a thousand times" thats fuckin awesome

lol, thanks 😀 I lack imagination which is how I ended up with that.

ha the Shakeaspeare one 🙂 i like your style , never thought of making a comix ? some have succedeed with far worse things ^^

Thanks, Alf! 😀

I'm beginning to think that I should maybe introduce some sort of story, like you said, a comic element rather than an inked acid trip.

"Mmmmmmm....inked acid trip....mmmaaaaaaarggghghgghhh! *drools*"- Homer Simpson

LOL 😛 Well I guess I can keep the surreal acidic elements there, but I'm definately thinking of keeping some recurring characters. I have some ideas going around in my head at the moment, so hopefully my next update should mark the beginning of the next age of WTF. 😀

"Excellent!"- Mr. Burns
