Ok, so I've started watching wresting again, and watched TNA Impact last night for the first time... yeeeeeahhhhh.... um.... wow, that was no where near as entertaining as WWE is. I was surprised to see all those familiar faces and the like, but in a not so great show. Maybe it'll get better if I watch it more?

TNA never gets better... it just nearly gets better, then sucks again. They have better PPVs when it's just wrestling, but for the most part it's just not fun.

Yeah, it was mostly background noise while I played WoW lol... And I realized it was over and was like "Oh shit, that was kinda lame." At least WWE still keeps me interested, and all that. Still not the same since The Rock and Stone Cold are gone.

TNA hasn't been right since they miss booked the whole Samoa Joe/Kurt Angle story line. Personally I would have put the belt on Joe before Kurt got there, and then never booked them on tv at the same time for at least 6 months. I would have had Angle form a tag team with AJ Styles and win the tag belts, while Joe was crushing people as World Champ. Then have AJ turn on Kurt, witch would lead to a series of great matchs, ending in the finals of a tournament to crown a "North American Champion" or some such thing as that. Angle would win that title and defend for a few months until he and Joe (finally on TV together) meet in the back area. The two would have literally pumped into each other with Joe striking Angle after leading to a fight that would be broken up. Joe would cause Angle to lose his "North American" championship that night, thus starting what would become an awesome war.

I've tried watching TNA and it's never kept my attention. They have some great talent who I'd like to see in the WWE one day, but their storylines aren't that great.

Even though the WWE is nowhere near the level it was 10-years ago, it's better than it was 3-or-4 years ago. I hope that they unify the World titles in 2010 or 2011 because the fueds are running out. Batista-Orton, Cena-Batista, Cena-'Taker, Orton-Edge, Orton-Cena are the only fueds that haven't been worn-out. HHH has went through about everybody. Fueds with 'Taker or Batista could work since it has been a while since he's fueded with both.

It would also be nice if they valued the other divisions more.

Yeah, I miss The Rock / Stone Cold days myself... and I thought that TNA would be better than what I saw last Thurs, with the talent they have, and was frankly quite disappointed.

As for the WWE I'm still watchin, and rather entertained. I'll give TNA a few more weeks before I give it quits, mainly since I like some of the wrestlers they have there.

Tickle_Fiend05 I agree, mainly I'm a HUGE fan of UT (Under Taker) always have been, he's awesome, as well as Batista, he's just a bad ass, and I'm glad he's back again. I'm surprised that HHH is still in the ring, with The Rock and Stone Cold both gone, he's kinda out of date in my opinion. I really think that Batista should take his place, and take up that mantle myself.

One last thing... it's been awhile, so can some one help me out with Kane? When the fuck did he shave his head, and all the sudden not become scared from the burning that supposedly happened to his face? I'm really confused about that one. I couldn't believe it when they had Kane walk out with no mask and no hair... 😕

I think he took his mask off in 2004. He lost a match with the stipulation being he had to take the mask off if he lost. And he hasn't been the same since.

Poor Kane is an over-sized jobber these days. I can't remember the last time he won a meaningful feud. The old Kane was a dominating monster. The current one is, well, Snitsky.

TNA doesnt work for me. i tried watching it a few months. other than Angle, its pretty boring.

There was a time, when Styles was their top guy, Raven was keeping the Upper card solid, and Jarrett was the top heel, that I actually thought it would rival WWE one day, and force them to really pull their socks up.

Then they gave up on the wrestling and let their terrible creative team ruin the show.

I still enjoy WWE, although it's not what it used to be honestly, I'm still having some fun with it. I have never paid to watch the PPV but that's just me. I just wait till RAW on Monday night and see the aftermath of the event.

Thanks for that vid and explanation Tickle_Fiend05. I have noticed that Kane has lost a lot. I loved the old days when he was masked. However I'm glad that Under Taker is still the same bad ass as before. I do hope their current stories aren't going to change that. However I'm still surprised to see some of the guys I'm seeing in there. (ex: HHH, HBK, etc...) We'll see what they do in the future...

Mick Foley is the new TNA champion and Bobby Lashley debuted with them tonight.

To me..and in TNA's defense somewhat...you can only be as good as your financial backing is. And let's just face it TNA's financial backing is no where near what the WWE has , so they make do with the resources they have..and with that being said they arent doing all that bad.WWE however has no excuse being the piss poor product they now find themselves being...no real talent to speak of (sorry but other then cena and triple hhh and MAYBE shaun micheals and the undertaker who ae both WELL past there prime) they got absolutely no one to main event anything...and cenas schtick has run its course and as for hhh..he's been a joke for years. The WWE now as to rely on gimmicks and the help of retirees to get anyone interested in there product who has watched wrestling and been a fan for any real length of time. Vince Mcmahon has single handedly drove wrestling right into the ground.I remember the days that belts actually meant something and championship matches actually made mainstream news..both tv and print. Now who cares who has what belt?...It's not about who really has the talent to carry the business as it's more about whose turn it is to hold the belt this month..lol.......what a joke!..but..that is wrestling these days

I somewhat agree with you. I watched the preview show for the Lock Down PPV and I wouldn't have watched that show had it been for free. Never mind actually paying to see it.

TNA thinks they need to run story now and not wrestling.

Its best days were when you had a sabu\abyss hardcore feud and right after you would have an insane X division match(like petey williams vs christopher daniels) but now they are doing more stupid plot and falling the way of WWF\WCW of old by having "established" big names taking the spotlight.

TNA still blows WWE away in the talent dept. ESPECIALLY with their Tag and Knockout divisions.

TNA also has the workings of a great talent exchange with Japan. Most TNA fans have knowledge enough to know and appreciate it so hell, see if you can bring in some top tier puroresu icons to TNA. Wont help ratings but it will help my mind thats lacking good wrestling. TNA already has 4 of the IWGP belts

The WWE has too many PPV's. 3-weeks after WM is Backlash. 3-weeks later is Judgement Day. Extreme Rules is 3-weeks after that. And the Great America Bash follows 3-weeks later. Then they have Unforgiven 3-weeks after Summerslam. No Mercy follows 3-weeks later. Cyber Sunday 3-weeks after that. And you would think that they would at least lower the prices for all that's going on. I read that the UK only had to pay $20 for WrestleMania.

I don't think there's any need for monthly PPV's anymore. I think it wouldn't be disappointed if they returned to four-or-five a year. I know they'd never do this because cash rules everything.

They make too much bank to not do it. People will pay

If anything have the brand specific ppvs

GAB and No way out can be smackdown ppvs, etc etc

I've always thought that No Way Out was an unnecessary PPV. Nothing significant happens since it's right before Mania. They should use the time between the Rumble and WrestleMania to build to WM.

I wanted to see the brand-PPV's end. I wouldn't have a problem seeing them return. They could maybe do half-and-half. Give each brand three PPV's each and the rest could be tri-branded. ECW can just have a match whenever they want. The only matches they ever have at a PPV is for the ECW title anyway.

I'm sure if they lowered the prices that they would have more people buying. I'm not paying $40 for a PPV every month. You never know if the show will be worth it. $20-25 a month seems fair. The only PPV's I'm willing to buy are WM, RR, SummerS and NOC (maybe). I think I bought every PPV through SummerSlam last year. I'll probably only pay for 4 this year (RR, WM, 2 remain). There's no need to pay that much money a year when there are reliable streams for every PPV.

I disagree. IMO TNA is better than WWE, although I'll admit this past week wasn't very good. It takes a while to learn the characters & storylines in any wrestling organization. I think the TNA wrestlers are better & more athletic than those in the WWE. However I'm really p***** off that they got rid of Petey Williams. He was far & away the best wrestler on the TNA roster

Since the WWE is so desperate to take the wrestling out the title and wanting to call their wrestlers entertainers instead, I think the WWE should combine both RAW and Smackdown into one 3 hour show and call it "The McMahon Variety Show." I think it's more of an accurate description of what you see on the TV. Each show they can have the 3 bell salute as well to the wrestler that died that particular week. Also the WWE should have like an Arlington Cemetery for all the dead wrestlers to be buried in but I think professional wrestlers seem to die at a rate comparable with the soldiers our country sends to war so they would need some major land for it.

that is so dead on its funny. 🙂
