:Grrr: :Grrr: :Grrr: :Grrr: Mail gone...yahoo groups gone...everythings gone...they cant even tell me what was the cause because THEY CAN'T MAIL ME!!! I hereby renounce ever associating myself with Yahell again. May they all burn in hell. Anyone who needs to get ahold of me, I'm now available to contact at: [email protected]

As of this point, there will be no homepage for my art, so I'll just post any and all new pieces in the original artwork section until I find a good web provider.

I'm really sorry to hear that, CC. To have all that and to have it taken away without a reason is a crime in my eyes. A real injustice. My sympathies. They probably labeled it as adult content and nailed you that way.

I'm worried now though, because if they did it to you, theres no reason for them not to do it to me, or any of the other artists we have here.

EDIT: There is the possibility this was one major fluke in Yahoo's system/database, and thats what caused it. If thats the case, the odds should have been with you, not against you.

Sorry to hear that this happened to you as well, Cheshire Cat. Yaboo (no spelling mistake!) also deleted one of my own groups and threw me out of all my others; I was able to resubscribe to my still existing groups, bot of course not as owner moderator. I can't update them anymore, not even delete them!

I bet they haven't even tried to tell you the reason, they didn't bother in my case. Damn Yahoo, they'd need some serious competition!

I want to know why they would do this. Theres no apparent reason or excuse.

That's one tough break. Why would Yahoo do something like this, to two people no less? Getting curiouser and curiouser.

Well, from what I gather, Yahoo! is doing this to alot of people for different reasons. But the main "spearhead" of their attack seems to be based on the idea that its adult content.

Now what I don't understand is if his groups and whatnot where in the adult section, why did this happen? A fetish is a fetish, but its not pornography. He's merely expressing himself as an artist, as are the rest of us. Nothing he has drawn (from what I've seen) is over-the-top or completely vulgar that it would make it ok for Yahoo! to do what they have done.

I'm probably one of the most "clean" artists in this community. Yahoo! wouldn't have a legitmate enough reason to come after me. Because with me, I just draw barefoot characters, and sometimes their tickled. I don't see how thats pornographic at all.

The fools delete what they do not understand. Also, if any artist here needs an image or three hosted, I can provide space, but not permanant, just until a new update. If ya need me, you know how to reach me.

On this note, can anyone tell me what the hell IS the problem with Yahoo?

Okay, for a while, everything was fine, all the groups were there. Then they said they would delete every group with adult content - basically, most of them. Then, they either all came back or they never deleted them.

Now, recently, they stopped allowing attachments in the members section, which is 90% of the content of the Yahoo groups!
That effectively nullified most of the groups.

What the hell's the problem, are they going crazy or something, or do they have a vendetta against Yahoo group users?

@ HDS- Thats nice of you. 🙂 However, should this same tragedy befall me too, two or three pictures isn't going to do it. I've got far too many...

@ mabus- Good points. My theory is that they are getting fet up of us free-loading off of them. They are simply lashing out, threatening us, and are trying to scare us. This is all in an attempt to either get us to stop using the free-service or to get us to pay for it. Either way though they are screwed more than we are. Because the truth is they couldn't function well enough without the activity they are getting from the likes of us free-users. We essentially make Yahoo! work. We attract more customers. So to get rid of us is going to cripple them, at least initially.

And if they make us pay, alot of us can't. So they make no money either. Either way they are damned if they do and damned if they don't, so their lashing out to try and fluster us. The actual damage will be done to them, not us. They realize this, and thats what makes them angry and vengeful as a corporation and a monopoly.

Are they at least as easy to use as Yahoo!? One of the main reasons I stick with them even dispite this is the easy use of the groups.

Thats good. But I see no reason to make the jump over to them just yet. Yahoo hasn't really done anything against me, and my group has been around since october of last year. Maybe I was spared because of the degree of my content, or maybe I just haven't been attacked yet.

Yeah, but if it does I'm not going to make that big a deal out of it. We've seen the worst Yahoo! can do. I'll simply go elsewhere, and hopefully my members, at least the faithful ones will follow me.

What makes this so hard is that CC has been around longer and has invested much more at this point than I have. I'm glad I've put my online manga aside for now. Its not safe with this stuff happening.
