Yaqi The Tickler Calls In. 6/11/03. 8:55am
A couple of years ago Howard became fascinated with this guy known as Yaqi. He tickled some women on the show and they even took him to Las Vegas. Howard said he heard that Yaqi has become ill and has decided to retire from the tickling thing. He's shutting down his web site and is giving up the tickling thing. He was on the phone to talk about this illness he has and how tough his life has become. He explained this Sarcoidosis that he has and how it feels like he's on a bad trip all the time. Howard and Yaqi talked about his illness and how hard his life has become since having to go through chemotherapy and stuff like that. He said that he came out of one of his chemo sessions and decided that he doesn't want to make masturbatory material for people. He said there's got to be something else he can do in his life. He said he doesn't feel that his stuff was porn though because all he was doing was tickling women. He feels that people took advantage of that and made it something it wasn't supposed to be. Howard asked him if he will tickle in his private life still. Yaqi said he doesn't think that will happen because he's so sick that he wears out quickly. His girlfriend left him because of the illness as well. Howard asked him to come in and tickle Robin one last time. Robin said she doesn't want that to happen though.

Howard took a call from a doctor who explained to Howard that this Sarcoidosis isn't something that someone can bring on themselves. It's uncontrollable. Howard seems to think that it could be like some things that Dr. John Sarno has talked about in his books ( The Mindbody Prescription : Healing the Body, Healing the Pain, Healing Back Pain : The Mind-Body Connection) that are brought on unknowingly by the person. Howard said he thinks Sarno might be able to help Yaqi out. Howard said there aren't that many real illnesses, a lot of them are all mental.

Yaqi told Howard that his web site is going away soon. He also wanted to thank a few people for helping him out. He thanked the people at...

TicklingForum.com
HowardShrine.com
MarksFriggin.com (You're already here)
SternFanNetwork.com
KOAM.com
He also thanked Howard for letting him be part of the show and for letting him talk about his illness. Howard wrapped up the call with Yaqi and said that if you want to get any of Yaqi's videos you'd better hurry and get over to YaqisWorld.com before it goes away.

Once again, all the best Yaqi. I sincerely hope you are able to overcome your illness and get everything that you want out of life.

BAH HUMBUG!!! Yaqi doesn't care about us. All he cares about is making a name for himself...good, bad or in between. I have no respect for someone who has to slam everyone around him to feel better about himself. That's not greatness. It's emotional imballance. Talk about hypocritical behavior!!! Get some help, dude...or don't bother "gracing us" with your presence again.

Yaqi is just a bitter "angry at the world" type of person. He blasted tickling companies for making "masterbatory vidoes", but he sees no problem with making his own line of videos.

He seeks to gain credability for tickling....yet he's trying to find it on Howard Stern, who is about as credible as the National Enquirer or any other check-out line tabloids.

Yaqi very much needs to get off his "I'm so great and larger than the world" attitude.

I'm sorry about his illness....I don't wish that upon any person, but it does not grant him a license to be such an asshole.

I have medical problems myself, with 3 open heart operations and almost died 2x on the table....but I don't see that as an excuse for being a jerk.

Actually, I have nothing against him. As a matter of fact, I could care less about him one way or the other. Thats why it really means nothing to me if he lives or dies. I could be next...or maybe you who knows and who really wants to waste the precious time one has left fretting about the inevitable.

What do we have against Yaqi? That you could ask that question only reinforces my overall feelings about a surprisingly large portion of humanity...
I think Yaqi needs psychiatric help. Good thing to get after the Chemo. Maybe certain medications could level him out, I don't know. It certainly won't change the reprehensible side of his personality, hopefully, it will make him a little bit more reasonable. Maybe he can pay for it with the profits he makes selling his videos to the wankocracy he complains ad nauseum about.

I don't understand the majority of you

This once again proves my point that everything Yaqi says is correct. You(the people of the TMF) can for the most part cannot take a joke, as you immediately get defensive when anything negative is said. Yaqi never once said anyone's names or pointed out anyone individual in his orginal posts as to who he's refering to, yet most of you took it as a personal attack on your character. I say unless he mentioned you by name to lighten up some. In addition I think he's right about us turning tickling into porno, I mean just look at the majority of tickle video's being put out lately. The majority of them have some sort of vibrator included in them or are guised that it's tickling based on the fact it's clitorial tickling. Porn is porn no matter what words you use or how you try to dress it up. Which is fine but I don't think we should have these "holier than thou" attidutes when so many of us are supporting this stuff or are more or less how Yaqi described as to be when in these forums. Just lighten up more as your life overall will improve because of it, not everything that is said in these forums is a slam on everyone. I mean for god sakes we all or for the most part all enjoy or are turned on by tickling. A playful and harmless act, now let's not degrade it by turning it into a porn center, much less a place where people can't take the time to laugh at themselves and others. That's all I have to say and Yaqi if you read this, I hope you will eventually beat this thing and don't give up fighting yet. Take care.

He's a hypocrite. He bashed others for doing the same thing. Also if you have an opinion that differs from his, he acts like you just killed his favorite dog.

The man needs to get over himself. He is not the "king of tickling". Granted he has been on TV shows, but so has Monica Lewinski, but that does not automatically make her "the media queen".

The man did mention several people by name in other posts, Dose. He didn't in this one but he refered to Phineas for instance, as a "low-rat motherf***er" in his previous thread. Phin's crime? Objecting to Yaqi spewing poison about the people who've kept him in business for so long. And people are supposed to take that as a joke Dose? I don't imagine that being refered to in such a perfumery manner has ever made anyone laugh with real humour.

Of course, it could just be that Dave is the most intelligent one of us all. The threads that have severely blasted Paradise Vision for their controversial non-consensual material only served to increase their turnover of said videos, because of piqued public curiosity.
It may just be that Yaqi sets out to publicly demonise himself because he's in need of a figures boost. He's certainly made himself the most notorious video producer, eclipsing even Gabrielle in my opinion. Making himself so unpopular has probably made his fortune. It probably did the same for Kujman as well.

Of course there was also his reason for his contempt for Phineas.

It never ceases to amaze me how the word "wank" has so permeated American society these days. I guess people do pay attention to me after all. 😀😛

Hmmm... I spent some time reading the stuff on Yaqi's website...

Sorry to hear about this horrible thing you've got. I hope that you can make the best out of whatever time you have left.

And also, I actually find myself agreeing with alot of Yaqi's idea... but I still reckon he could phrase some of his comments a little nicer.

Rather odd...

I read this post, and the previous one about Yaqi a while back, but never got a chance to comment on it, because of work.

This whole situation is just...odd. We all want to feel sorry for Yaqi, but then we read what he says...and that's really hard. Actually, it is an attack on all of us. If you are a black person, and you hear some white trash racist ranting that all black people are worthless criminals, but doesn't mention your name in particular, does that mean he didn't mean it against you? Yaqi can't name 8,000 people, and how much he hates them. But if he insults us all, he insulted us all. And when he called the women of the forum a bunch of fat cows....someone has to ask, "Women of the forum, what is your comment on that colorful description of yourselves? Is Yaqi right, and you all are bunch of fat cows?"

Yaqi does mention whacking off A LOT. He makes tickling vidoes, then gets pissed because people buy his tickling videos. It's like George Lucas getting pissed because people want to see Star Wars and watch light saber battles. I don't know exactly what Yaqi wants. I'm sorry about his illness too, but come on. A lot of people here have had accidents, and illnesses, and even close friends or family die. Does that give them the liberty to come here and curse everyone out?

But the whole situation is that Yaqi got on Howard Stern, and has tickled famous people. My big obvious question is, why doesn't Tickler in Black, or Jeff, or Francois, or Wallstreet or any of the other producers get on Hoawrd Stern? Why don't some of the producers make a really good video, or take a really good older one, and enter it into all those adult video awards, where they can meet a LOT of people who are in the same field you are in? You've got the tickling world, then the mainstream porn world (which is huge, by the way), home of PlayBoy, Danni's Harddrive, Hustler, etc. Then you've got the mainstream world. The mainstream movie and TV world may never "accept" tickling, but do we really want them too? But the wider world of adult entertainment is where the producers should focus on. (Which is what Howard's show is, anyway) I think if Jeff and TIB and others starting getting on Howard Stern, and PlayBoy magazine, and other venues, it would put the whole Yaqi situation in a different perspective.

...........Yet I agree with those who are tired of the "vibrator, orgasm" tickling. "Tickling" someone with a vibrator, isn't tickling, it's just using a vibrator on someone. I have no problem with that ( wouldn't buy the video, but I know some will.) But you can't call that tickling. I think Francois' model of tickling, the fully clothed tickling, will appeal to more and more, and he will be the wave of the future....

Yaqi has never said a positive thing about anyone bu himself, in my experience. I don't think he's got any right to bitch about people slamming him in return. Doesn't mean he won't bitch of course. He'll probably never stop.

No it doesn't give it to him, but it won't stop him taking it. As for him calling everyone else a jerk-off (translated into English-English as wanker), well it takes one to know one. IT never fails to surprise me how someone could have so much contempt for the people who line his pockets with greenbacks.

I don't know about TIB, but Jeff has been TV talking about tickling. As for why the didn't go on Stern? Well perhaps they've just got more taste than that. Howard Stern is a total tit-head, pure and simple. He makes a living from making fun of an humiliating people. It doesn't take much to guess why Jeff and Brian would'nt go near the prat.

It certainly appeals to me more than the vibro cobblers. That doesn't float my boat at all. I think my ideal tickling is generally more ruthless and more sexy than the type Francois does, but clothing-wise; he da man!

Because we aren't suicidal and have too much common sense to hope that Stern wouldn't do his best to grind us into the ground. I don't think appearing on Stern could do anything to help our cause, no matter how skillful and charismatic a hypothetical producer guest might be. Stern's main purpose is to entertain people by ridiculing and/or taking advantage of his guests. People from the tickling fetish community are certainly excellent fodder for him, considering how weird we seem to most people (sad but true). As much as it took guts for Yaqi to appear on Stern (got to give him that), I think it's one the worst moves he could possibly have made. It was very naive of him to believe he could accomplish anything that way. I mean, come on, this is Howard Stern we're talking about!

Heheh! You know what, as strange as this may sound, I kinda hope it's not. Because then there'll be a lot of new producers doing the same thing and I'll quickly go out of business because I can't compete. Very possible that others, including new ones, would sink too because it's such a small sub-market.

It's amazing how many people who have participated in this discussion have missed the boat. Go to my website and read the samplings of emails I have received from people who saw me on tv and wanted to know more about tickling. The mainstream audience, even those who watch Howard Stern, are more intelligent than you give them credit for. I know, from the thousands of emails I have received, that people did get something of my message and were genuinely curious about tickling. And Howard was ultimately very generous with me. He gave me almost 15 minutes of air time to plug my illness on his show. He didn't have to do that. He allowed me the opportunity to raise public awareness for Sarcoidosis. Some here complain that Howard Stern is not high art. That may be true but what some seem to be missing is the fact that everyone watches him. If you have a message and you want to get it to the public, I can think of few venues for reaching a massive mainstream audience as effective as his show.

Going on Howard Stern turned out to be one of the best moves I ever made. And everyone interested in tickling benefited from it because you got to see some unprecedented free mainstream tickling. I benefited because I increased my audience a million fold. I conservatively estimate that as a result of all the tv, radio and print I did I have been seen or heard or read about by almost half a billion people worldwide. If .001% of those people purchase something from my website, well you do the math. Going on Howard Stern and other venues has put me in the position of probably never having to work again.

But more importantly, I did raise awareness of tickling. I know this from the people who recognize me in the streets and the people who contact me in person and through the internet. I know what I accomplished. I spread a message around the world. And I've sold over a hundred thousand copies of my tickling documentary to people who have never heard of the TMF; people who were unaware of the allure of tickling until they saw it on TV. On Howard Stern. Howard and his gang certainly tried to humiliate me my first time out there by calling me gay, a serial killer, etc, but at the end of the day they gave me a 60 minute infomercial for my site.

And at the very end of it all, Howard showed his true colors by allowing me to give something back to the world by discussing Sarcoidosis. I've received hundreds of emails from fellow Sarcoid sufferers who heard me on Stern. And it really made their day and made them feel less alone in their struggle with this insideous disease.

And that ultimately has made my life worthwhile.

Yaqi, I really enjoyed reading that post.

It was intelligent, to the point, fascinating, civil and revealing. Dude......... why not more often? 🙁 You're no-one's idiot and you know the market like the back of your hand. Why do you spend so much time with baiting people and writing immflammatory insults that have no point other than to score petty victories?

If a tenth of your posts were half as intelligent and thought-out as the one you just did, you would'nt cop a hundredth of the flak you do here. More than that, you'd be the tickling equivalent of The Rock. (The Tickler's Champion... I can imagine it now. Heh.)

I'm sorry Yaqi, but I just don't understand how you can possibly feel that the abuse you got from Stern and his gang and the negative image (for you and the community) that resulted from it can be worth whatever "publicity" it got you. This is definitely not a case of there being "no bad publicity". I assume your intentions were good, but come on....Howard Stern?

I got several offers from the local media to do stories about my activities. I think I got offers from 4 newspapers, 2 radio stations and one TV channel. They were all reporters that noticed my adds on campus and found them amusing. They all sounded ok enough, but I politely declined all offers. I had a few reasons for refusing, but one is that I know how intolerant many people are of interests like ours, and while some people might be enlightened by such exposure, I believe that overall it can only do more damage than good.

For instance, in one case a radio station offered to do an actual interview with me for a talk show, and they were clear that they intended to go for a very playful, positive approach. That's all good and well, but no matter how nice and convincing I might have sounded, it would only have taken one ignorant, close-minded caller with nasty comments to ruin everything asnd turn a lot of people against us. It doesn't matter if I would have had logical, reasonable arguments to defend myself. The damage would already have been done. Like a lawyer who gladly withdraws an outrageous comment knowing that it has already influenced people who've heard it. So no thank you, I have no intention of damaging my reputation or that of the community by having anything to do with the media, no matter how tempting it may be sometimes.

That I can't argue with. If it did some good by getting people to learn more about Sarcoidosis, then at least it wasn't a total loss, and I can understand how that part of your experience was highly positive for you.

However, I fail to understand your "showed his true colors" comment. Are you suggesting that Stern is actually a great man, a humanitarian who's actually interested in promoting people's awareness of diseases and such? I find that hard to believe. To me he's just a scumbag, plain and simple, though I may be wrong.

What negative image? The public response to my media tour was overwhelmingly positive. Go read the email responses that are peppered throughout my website. I know that Howard was very much into what I was doing and we really saturated that show with some great tickling action. And my press agent constantly talks to the show's producers and they constantly tell him how much Howard's interest in ticking has grown as a direct result from those shows. And I never really felt like I was abused. At worst I was irritated by their juvenile antics but it takes a bit more than mere name calling to offend me. A lot of the public reaction that I get is prefaced by "I'm sorry Howard was such an a**hole to you," but audiences are smart. They saw past Howard's antics and were able to genuinely appreciate tickling. I got my first real taste of this when I went to Las Vegas and met all the hard core Stern fans, who all wanted to talk to me about what I was doing. A nice, intelligent bunch of folks who found my segments interesting, unique and very entertaining. Then after the E! shows aired and The Other Half aired and my mugshot was plastered across tvs around the country I started getting approached in public places by people who wanted to meet me, get an autograph or a photo, or just talk some about tickling. Personally, I don't always enjoy the public recognition, especially during times when I'm really sick and am waiting in the checkout line of a drugstore, but the overwhelming majority of people who speak to me think that what I have done with tickling is cool.

So I've never really understood this attitude that Stern abused me. I don't feel abused. No one in my world saw me as being abused. All my friends and colleagues certainly learned a few things about me as a result of those shows but they are all very supportive and interested.

I wouldn't trade my experiences with Howard for anything. And while I certainly benefitted from the experience financially, I think more importantly I proved, to my satisfaction, that people are open minded about tickling as an interest.

That's the bigger issue than being called a serial killer on a national show. It's been my continued experience that it is ok to tell people about your love of tickling. People are cool with it. It might not be their cup of tea, but no one has ostrichized me or been anything other than positive. And I've basically told the whole world. That's the real truth that I have learned through all of this. I can't see a single compelling argument for staying in the "tickling closet." I don't know of a single individual in my real world life who has had a negative reaction to my going on Howard Stern.

I've always believed that life is about taking risks. Well I took one. And I'm very glad I did.

Ok then

yaqi said:

Oh well, if you truly feel it was a positive experience for you, then I'm happy for you, I suppose. I can't speak for the community as a whole, though.

That's the bigger issue than being called a serial killer on a national show.

I have to respectfully disagree with that, but again, if you're ok with it that's all that matters.

But Yaqi, I still see no purpose in attacking us here on the forum. The vast majority of us (like, over 99%) have no hard feelings toward you or your work. If you were attacked by anyone BEFORE you said anything negative, well, that's them! There are assholes on ever forum, newsgroup, audience, wherever. Don't attack them, ignore them.

As for those you dislike because they just want free clips and pictures, they are...inconsequential. They really have no positive or negative influence on anything, so why even pay attention to them? They're like people who see a movie trailer, but are really cheap, so wait till the movie comes out on TBS to watch it. Who cares?

Did Kubrick, or Speilberg, or Lucas take time out to address EVERY critic? Of course not, they know that they have 90 % fans, 10% critics, and more importantly, the 10% who are critics still go watch their movies anyway!

Good luck, know that if you're polite, you always have a home here...of course, I don't consider it being polite ignoring flame baiters, I just think it's common sense - don't waste energy on evil people, that's what they want.
