You might not be alone in the shower

When you're taking a shower, you may not be alone. A recent study shows that the shower curtain retains hundreds of millions of yellow, pink and white bacteria. These bacteria can cause health problems for certain people and can hurt people with AIDS, cancer or immune system disorders. Scientists recommend that you wash your curtains about once or twice a month to prevent the bacteria from growing too fast. Are you gonna run and buy youself a new shower curtain? I have sliding glass doors; due to the dog and cats joining whomever was in the shower.

My shower curtain hasn't been washed in a while. Maybe I should spray it with Lysol. 😀

Remember...don't spray the dog with Lysol...hehe couldn't resist 😉

Seriously, mold in a shower can cause LOTS of problems for people with allergies...Whenever you clean your shower curtain you should also spray down your bathroom ceiling and walls with an anti-mold spray!
It really works...

EEK! :wow:

It's a good thing I've got a sliding glass door. 😛

Hell i didnt know that, i thought it was bad enough having Jester keep trying to take a shower with me, but I guess I got other things in there with me

Hey, read my signature line: "Support bacteriae, they're the only culture some people have!" 😀

For those of you with glass doors...

Don't be so quick to think you're in the clear. While plastic retains a higher concentration than clean glass, you're not free of bacteria. For starters, the more soap scum that builds up, the more bacteria will adheer...on the doors, the walls, etc. And, don't forget about the tracks that the doors slide in. Talk about a breeding ground! That's a higher risk than the shower curtains. Everything runs down to it and collects there. You think all that slime in the tracks is just soap? Think again. The only way to keep things semi-bacteria free is to properly clean things.

For those with shower curtains, they should be washed (with bleach for the liners) on a regular basis. For those with doors, the same applies. Scub things down. Take the doors out of the tracks and clean them. Both should wash down the walls and plumbing. Everything should be sprayed at the end with a light coating of a clorine solution to kill anything you missed....and you WILL miss some. Just be sure to rinse the shower and tub out after you're done...waiting a few minutes for the clorine to do its thing. The shower/tub floor can get slippery.

For those who wash their dishes in sinks that haven't been cleaned out and disinfected... :wow: ...you may want to rethink things too.

taking a shower with someone else is better than taking it alone then you have someone to reach the hard to reach spots and also it is alot funner with someone else in there too!!!!!!!

Invest in a double headed shower!!!
Then you both get the water and don't have to share...

Hey Lime... Would you take a shower with me? I'll let you tickle me silly!

Look, I already know I'm not alone in the shower. Last time I was in there, I started singing Frankie Valli's 'Can't Take My Eyes Off of You', and the soap got out of the dish, flipped me the finger, and strolled away.

very funny, Knox.

I can envision it in my mind... wait... that didn't sound right.
