Among the national chains, which is your favorite?I like Pizza Hut.What about the local mom&pop place in your area?Leavenworth being a small city we don't have anything like that here. :cry1: How about your favorite toppings?I like Italian sausage and pepperoni, thin crust from Pizza Hut.

My favorite chain is a local pizzeria called "Flying Pie." They make the absolute best hawaiian pizza, which also happens to be my favorite topping.

As for national chains, I suppose Papa Murphy's isn't that bad.

bugman you should come to sweden then you would now how a pizza should taste i once heard an italian said that the pizza in sweden is better than in italy. And i love a pizza with salami or with the filet of beef.

We have many good local pizza places so I tend to avoid the national chains. Good call on the sausage and pepperoni! That's second only to my all time favorite, bacon pizza.

I envy you unit.It is a pizza wasteland here i'm sorry to say. :sowrong:

I try to stay away from the national chains If I do,it's usually Domino's Pizza the Hut just sits in my stomach too weird

I prefer pizza from the north east New York style But that's what I grew up on Broccoli is my favorite topping

I like eggplant and anchovies with a generous sprinkling of corn.MMMMMmmm!!! :happyfloa

By the way,who won the great chocolate pizza bake-off at NEST? 😎

In my area my favorite is Papa Gino's but pepperoni and onion are my fav toppings 😎

I'm not sure about that, but it sure was nice to meet you both.😀

Best pizza ever:

Pepperoni, bacon, black olives, jalapeno peppers from Mario's Pizza in Guelph, Ontario.

😀

Snail Shell

Favorite places would be Ameci (local chain) and Antonio's (one of a kind, been there for 50 years). Who the hell says you can't get good pizza west of the Mississippi?

As for toppings, anchovies all the way, which I've discovered severely limits the pool of those willing to split a pizza with you.

My favorite pizza...sausage.

It's very hard to find really good pizza here in New Jersey. Most of it's merely passable, to downright shameful. Of course, the downright shameful's still a whole lot better than what I had down in Virginia back in the day.

Some years ago, I drove a limo for a very short time. The guy who was training me stopped for some pie after a drop off at JFK. I had almost forgotten how unbelievably awesome the pizza is back home in Queens. The place where we went was open to the street, you lined up outside, and they gave you your order through the window. It was the greatest pizza I ever had. I've been told that the place isn't there anymore. Very unfortunately, this venue became the most famous pizzeria in America for about a week, for having played a prominent role in a horrible bias crime back in the 1980s, that forever shamed the neighborhood it was in...

Best pizza I ever had here in New Jersey would be at several locations on the Wildwood boardwalk. One of them was known as 'Three Brothers'. the pies are substantially larger in diameter than the usual...and it's very, very good.

National chain best? Round Table

Best Take N Bake? Papa Murphy's (I think that's a Cali chain only, not sure!)

Best local pie? Zelda's Chicago Style (the place has been here for decades and as far as I know, has never run an ad~it's that amazing) Located in the heart of downtown, I can't remember a time when it hasn't been voted by the locals in the yearly "Best Of" mag as Number 1. Zelda is this big blonde German lady, mean as hell and she still waits tables along with the staff. Your wait will never be less than an hour minimum and the bar is small, with about 17 stools. Pure hell as a dining experience, but the pizza is heavenly... :rotate:
XOXO

Local place? Westshore Pizza, think it's a Tampa chain...

cheese and tomato..... 🙂

other than "Tombstone"?

haha..

"Little Caesars" by far..... soooo good.

Hmm *licks fingers* has to be the Calzone (rolled one) from Topo Gigio's (never disappoints and always busy). You see the chef's making the dough, aww scrummy.

Fav topping (well as its rolled - has to be inside lol); loads of mozzarella, tomatoes, onions, sweet corn and loads of mushrooms... mmm now thats done it, I'm hungry now 🙂 I also love olives on a pizza but they don't do it in this one.

You cut open the pizza and all the heat from the cooking comes out and the sauce pours out and you use the rolled edge of bread to soak it up, delicious! 😛

Theres a place here called Jordano's... i dunno if its a chain or not, but they have THEE BESTEST pizza around here... we usually get the one with chicken, onion, mushrooms, and 3 kinds of cheese... it weighs like 10 lbs when you get it... yum... now i want some... and i can't have it... :ranty: damn, that always happens to me.... :Grrr:

there's a place here in ann arbor called pizza house, and they consistently get voted best pizza in the area every year. my personal fave is a chicago style deep dish with jalapenos, portabello mushrooms, garlic (as an item!) , and roast beef. it sounds completely ridiculous, but it really is good as hell! :devil2:

My favorite pizza would be a large thin crust cheese from a local franchise back home in Cincinnati called LaRosa's. I usually add extra sauce and cheese to it. SO YUM!!! I've had pizza from other local places but nothing tastes nearly as good as LaRosa's. It's not New York style or even Chicago style. It's just damn good pizza.

I crave it all the time, but can't get it down here in NC and it's especially worse now that I'm pregnant because I crave all kinds of Cincinnati food that I just can't get my hands on!

Usually whichever Pizza is in front of me is the best. But I like a place called "Al's" near Jacksonville Beach (Actually Neptune Beach Fl). I don't know if it is the Pizza, the beer, the Ocean, the beach, heck, I don't even care which it is but what a great time......

I like everything on mine, except Green Peppers don't like me :xlime:

Of the national chains, my favorite is Pizza Hut.
Of the local places, my favorite is John's Pizza, which is one location only as far as I know.
I love anchovies on pizza, which makes many people upset if they're sharing the pie with me.

Of the national chains I go with Pizza Hut. Locally there is an independent pizzeria called Bruno's which is quite good. My favorite pizza is sausage with green peppers, onion, and extra cheese.

I don't relly have a favourite pizza place but my favourite kind of pizza is ham and pineapple.
