Your favorite thing from the 80's / 90's?

Movies for sure, all of my favorite ones were made in the 80s or 90s. And as weird as it sounds, I loved 80 and 90's commercials. Being a kid there was always fun mascots and the like.

I guess while I'm on the topic of cartoons. Gargoyles, Swat Cats, Beavis and Butthead, Daria, and Space Ghost Coast to Coast. I loved those shows so much.

How could I overlook the films. Gremlins, Terminator (2 was my favourite), Edward Scissorhands, Beethoven, Goodfellas (though I didn't see it until it had already been out for a few years) and, of course, my absolute ultimate all-time childhood favourite anything EVER, ROBOCOP.

I also find that most of my favorite movies were from the 90's. I definitely agree that the older commercials were better too, with catchy phrases and memorable jingles as opposed to the annoying carnival-barker hype that now dominates TV advertising.

Mad respect for being a fan of Space Ghost. I never got to see it originally when growing up but that show is spectacular. Daria I did see growing up and was always a good time. And agreed Val, commercials lack the charm they did back in the 80's and 90's.

I actually remember Space Ghost when it first came out.
Another cartoon I liked was Johnny Quest... the jazz band providing the background music was WONDERFUL!

Psh, you kidding? To this day, instead of an angel and a devil on my shoulders, I have a little Conroy Batman and a little Hamill Joker to tell me right from wrong. XD

The big, dumb, over the top action movies. I recently rewatched the whole Lethal Weapon series, and was thinking before coming across this topic that they really don't make movies like that anymore.

The cartoons, the action movies, the music, the video games, the hair, I loved it all! I loved the eighties so much and I'm glad so many people on this forum loved them too. You guys and gals are all awesome. God bless. 😀
