CHRIS JERICHO!!!

I did NOT see that coming. WWE swerved us, people. I enjoyed C.M. Punk as champion, but Jericho holding it once again could be stellar. Looking forward to see where this goes!

Hell fukkin' Yeah! I had completely forgot tonight was the match.

/off to wwe.com/

Ok, I like CM Punk. But for some reason, Jericho has that extra 'something' that makes me view him as a more credible champion.

Sorry, Glam. This is exactly why I mentioned that Mistress Aura would hate Orton. It was Randy and 3 cohorts that took Punk out before the match. Looks like the beginnings of a new stable. Orton, DiBiase, Rhodes and new guy Manu (aka Afa Jr.). Treachery is afoot. 😱

We're going to need a good face stable to combat the third generation superstar machine of Orton, DiBiase, Rhodes and Manu. Punk is an obvious choice. Cryme Tyme as well, since I doubt they're finished trying to take the gold from DiBiase and Rhodes. Let's give the 4th spot to Kofi Kingston, who was on the scene attempting to help Punk as the heels beat him down. A stable vs. stable feud could really elevate some guys to new levels.

Though I've never been a big Jericho fan, I do like the new heel character he's portraying. And as much as I wanted to back CM Punk, I didn't really feel the momentum in his push.

Still, I can't wait for Batista to get his hands on Jericho:mhorns:

I've been waiting for Jericho to get another shot with a World title ever since his first run as Undisputed Champ. I thought that one was largely overshadowed by the whole Triple H/Stephanie drama. Now that he does have the big belt again, I'm hoping he gets a decent reign and is able to stand on his own. The man deserves it for the consistently entertaining matches he's put on over the years. Now if he'd only put the long trunks back on and regrow the hair. 😛

His new run as a heel reminds me of his time in WCW, where he would pull out the WCW rulebook and constantly use red tape and legal runaround to get what he wanted.

I'm very happy that Jericho is the champ because he is the most deserving of it. Still, I know that he'll likely drop the title to Batista by November and when Cena returns they can build to their rematch at WM 25, which of course is what we all want to see (yeah right). They probably still see Jericho as nothing more than a transitional champion.

Cena is not expected back until around this time next year, so Jericho will hold the belt for a while, unfortunately. It is a shame the way Punk has been treated, you never know how a person will perform unless given the ball. Painted him as a transitional champion, which is too bad. he ought to consdier going to TNA, where they can really utilize his talent

You probably already know this, but for those who don't, Punk was actually in TNA for a bit before signing with WWE. Actually, both he and Mickie James (then Alexis Laree) were part of Raven's faction, "The Gathering". I'm hopeful that WWE will keep Punk in the title picture. Hope against hope, perhaps.

Well deserved. His feud with HBK has been the best in years, and he is a great heel. 🙂

Any time those guys lock up, it's a classic. Who remembers their match from WrestleMania 19? As far as I'm concerned, it stole the show. Best match on the card. It also doesn't hurt that those two can convey emotion on a mic like nobody's business. That always adds heat to a good feud.

Jericho's new heel turn is such a whiner, I think he needs to lose the title just so he'll have something to bitch about.

I don't mind. Jericho is always on the whiny side when he makes a heel turn. The man's good at it. I'm sure he'll be complaining big-time once he does drop the title, though I hope that's no time soon. When he finally does, WWE needs to keep him in the title picture. Same with Punk. Just my opinion, of course.

I think Punk will definently stay in the title picture. He hasn't done anything to justify being demoted. His involvement with Randy Orton seems to be an indication that he is here to stay.

And I hope we get to see Michaels and Y2J at WM 25. I think their fued could last that long and I hope we see HBK get a shot at the title.

Jericho as champ....

Good, WWE was getting stagnant. Too much John "Over Rated" Cena. Nice guy and good with the mic, but the world champ is for the best wrestler not most popular. Jericho is one of today's best and a much more appropriate and deserving champ. However I think the Walls of Jericho sucks in comparison to the Lion Tamer. I know, I know, it hurts a lot more but for God sakes people, I've been in it before and if it makes for good show, then do it. Especially when your getting paid as much as them. But Lance Cade? Who decided he mattered enough to keep around? Guy is as plain as pancakes without syrup! Lose the jerk or make a stable... then kick him out of it lol.
