Unfortunately we don't have much of a choice, all our accounts are being disabled and we seem to have no reasonable recourse. I've already decided I wouldn't go back even if they let me. My main reason being, that when I inquired about what this supposed "inappropriate content" was they sent me a reply with a bunch of "usual" problem answers, and THE FIRST option, was "How to close an account".

So basically you say you have a probelm, and they say "well if you want to close your account heres how". this to me indicates a lack to work with/listen to/ consider any issue their users may have. If they don't want to help us, then they don't want us, so lets not hang around there. I do customer service for my day job, and if everytime I got a complaint I said "well if you want to close your account heres how" not only would I have no job, but my company would have no customers, if youtube wants to commit cyber-suicide I say let them!

I understand, but I hate to see the bad guys win. I noticed that some of the videos require an adult log in. Have videos that were marked for adult log in also been removed?

Yeah, a couple have been. It will still bring you to the page where you must click on the link to state that you are an adult and all that jazz, but the next page just shows up as the clip has been removed. It doesn't seem right, and I don't like to just roll over and play dead. Thats not the airborne way! I want to call this maliscious targeting, but oh well. Perhaps the person will move on to something else. Or have the worst urinary infection in history! :firedevil

well, a few videos seem to have survived the last 24 hours. maybe the censors went on holiday or are off harassing others.

No - they are not on holiday. My videos were all deleted, because a second one marked as inappropriate. It was this one:
Beach Tickling - Lucy and Jordan
Two girls on the beach, tickling each others feet. No violence, no naked flesh - just fun and laughter. Absurd decision - looks for me as if a some kind of youtube troll is having his fun.

Again my idea: Look at these clips:
youttube - broken legs
Do you think, those clips are good for anyone? Let's mark them as inappropriate because of cruelty - the more we give those moderators to do, the less tickling vids can be removed ...

For those who gave the advice to move on to google, check out the terms of google, where it says:

Personal Use Only
The Google Services are made available for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not use the Google Services to sell a product or service, or to increase traffic to your Web site for commercial reasons, such as advertising sales.

I opened a video.google account a few weeks ago, but when I read the terms after that (I sometimes do that in that order - first subscribe, then read 🙂 ) I did not start uploading any videos, as we always have our banner-url in them ...

I now checked the youtube terms, where it is announced:

5. User Submissions
....
F. YouTube permits you to link to materials on the Website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. ...

Concerning us as producers of tickling media, they are right, when they removed our clips.

Actually, my youtube.com account was a DIRECTOR account meant for commercial use. It allowed me to list prices of my clips. This was an additional approval process that I went through. So, the termination of my account had nothing to do with the fact that it was used for commercial purposes.

Now I imagine that most other producers here didn't have a Directors account, yet we had the same experience. So my conclusion is that termination of our accounts had nothing to do with commercial use, but with someone flaging our clips as inappropriate.

I never thought to mention the director acccount thing until now.

Read more about youtube.com director accounts here http://www.youtube.com/blog?entry=4KWKYZN7znU

If someone was flagging the clips as inappropriate, there are still the operators, who have to decide, whether the contents is really disgusting or somehow ... (??) And their opinion is counting. That's really, really strange, that they removed those clips.

My Email to YouTube, Director Accounts

I Just sent this to YouTube.com

I’m with a group of producers that make videos focused on tickling. No sex. No nudity. No age inappropriateness. No Drug use. No illegal activity.

In one of the most traffic forums online for tickling interests, a thread (which I started) is running for over a week now where many producers are discussing how their youtube clips were removed and/or accounts were terminated for video clips flagged as inappropriate. The latest reported case was described as “Two girls on the beach, tickling each others feet. No violence, no naked flesh - just fun and laughter.” Now if this is inappropriate, then half of the youtube content must go immediately or we are in fact being selectively prosecuted and selectively discriminated against.

The gist of the thread in our forum is we feel selectively excised and prosecuted by youtube for doing nothing wrong.

I just now did a search for the word “tickle” on youtube and saw that there were 2345 results returned, yet our clips and accounts have been terminated. Inequality and injustice are all over this thing. See attached image.

In my case personally, I had a Director account and 23 video clips with pricing set and lots of viewers, comments and subscribers. First one, then another, and finally a third video clip was removed as inappropriate and my account was terminated. Fun? Not really.

So, I’d like to know, is your system so viewer driven that someone with mal intent can just go on a tirade flagging clips as inappropriate, and thereby terminate peoples accounts at will? If so, think of how many people like nothing more than causing havoc. When those who live to 'break things' figure this out, you’ll have a significant problem. Family, church, rodeo, dance, cat and cooking videos will all fall victim.

Or is it that once clips are flagged as inappropriate, your team then reviews them and takes the action of termination which us tickle producers have experienced. If this is the case, then we have a beef with you on selective prosecution of us.

In either case, you have a problem to resolve.

The idea of youtube seemed very American and democratic to me before all of this un-explainable series of selective terminations.

All of my many attempts to communicate with youtube about this problem (to date) have met with an automated response that never came close to addressing my concerns. I hope a HUMAN will actually respond to this message so that I can share your policy and position on this matter with other the producers.

We’d like justice on this matter now.

Not bad - you gave it a try 🙂
Where did you send it? To Mayrose?
[email protected]

But if you take a look, a lot of videos are still on youtube - from us e.g.

stocks and pumps
feetup tickling
and a lot more of our preview-clips. Would have been better, if the complete collection is available und my account, but shit happens 😉

I will not insist at youtube - don't waste too much time. The answer will be given by the community ....

Don't hold out any hope.

Hey there, all I can say is good luck. I sent a similar if less indepth inquiry to them, now over 10 days ago, when my first vid was removed, and have never heard back.

It has struck me however that it maybe worth us reopening youtube accounts and using their embeddding feature to post clips, while keeping them private. i.e away from people being able to flag them. Just a thought.

While I understand what daryl said about not wanting to let the bad guys win, I can't speak for all, but personally I can say my clips will not cease coming in some shape or form, I have no intention of letting them win, but I already put a significant amount of time and effort in to my store and considering the treatment of its users, youtube has displayed over the past weeks, it is more than just a matter of letting the bad guys win. If my bank treated me the way youtube has I would go to another bank. There is no difference as far as I am concerned. I'm voting with my feet. Again no pun intended!!

It continues

For the record youtube just sent me yet another robotic reply, this one has taken 5 days for me to get the FIRST response, this is probably cause so many people are sending them stuff cause they're pissed they have been disabled. 5 days and its robotic, I don't ever expect them to answer us, and each day I care less and less.

And again

And I just got another now my 4th robotic response. Pardon my french, but I've think they would be better run with a retard fucking a doorknob at the helm.

Don't mean to bombard this thread

I just tried to re-open a youtube account and post a tickling video, it was immeditaely rejected due to terms of use. I noticed the workd "tickling" was highlighted!!!! Interesting.. no?

1. I don't see anyone crying
2. Feels like our little pecadillo is being persecuted.
3. Because many producers have been using to preview their clips for the past 3 months, and we are now being kicked off, by the bucket load.
4. youtube was free too
5. Might be an idea to proof read your posts mate. Cause I think you meant "there are OTHER free posting sites you KNOW"

have a good one
