I just want to make it known that VideoLAN plays flv files as well with the bonus of being able to go full screen! It also plays most other video files except real video.

As i don't like the .FLV Flash Video format, i use "Riva FLV Encoder" program
for encoding them to MPEG format.
 
FLV to MPEG-4 Encoder for Max OS X

For those of us who are Mac OS X users here is a link to an FLV to MPEG-4 encoder (http://isquint.org/). In fact, it is an encoder for any format to MPEG-4 for the iPod. Just drag and drop the FLV file into the center area and press the Start button.

I just tried in Mac OS X 10.4 with a bunch of FLV downloads and it works great.

LFTB Custom Movies Service

For those who encounter difficulties with YouTube Flash Video clips,
i have done a special thread on my LFTB Forum to help you downloading them in FLV format, converting them in MPEG format and join them together into a custom movie 🙂

By the way, it's very easy to convert links ;
every links have to start by this same sequence :

http://youtube.com/get_video.php?video_id=

and after the "=" symbol, just paste what were after the first "=" symbol on the original link : 11 characters which are representing the label of the clip (not necessary alphanumerical keys, sometimes "-" or "_").

"&search=" and all following characters (at the end of the original links) are optional, they are just informing about keywords used for the search of the clip.
