These are my totally unconnected thoughts at the moment.
Ladies, I love every shade of you across the board, but if you are a girl who freckles abundantly, let that be your highlighting feature, and don't try to tan yourself to death on top of it. Even Lindsay Lohan can't pull it off. The beauty inherent in the freckle is in the natural contrast between the freckle pigment and the skintone. Trying to make your skin darker unnecessarily ruins the effect.
I've been approached to design a logo for a sign for a Philly coffee shop a coworker of mine is opening in a part of the city they're trying to revitalize... I'm finding myself a little stuck between doing what is the conventional modern coffeeshop aesthetic, wanting to do something more art nouveau (which might come off as pretentious), and trying to figure out a fresh look for this thing. I like the opportunity -- there's a certain primitive territoriality about art that marks a location... It feels that, in a way, that place becomes a little bit mine then...
It would seem as though those catching the bad end of the swine flu don't have to suffer long, with their respiratory systems crashing in as little as a day. With this being my worst illness season ever, I really can't afford anything else. Given my proximity to a population that carries and distributes seasonal plagues regularly, I'm seriously considering buying some proper face masks.
Only a couple of days left 'til NEST, and still much to do and get organized... Coupla' small things I need to buy for the benefit of my 'lees, packing that needs to be done... I'm looking forward to this one pretty well, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll be doing this sort of thing (attending to the trappings of the fetish in whole -- gatherings, spending time on various forums, etc.). I'm starting to feel the drain on resources -- more my time than money, but money, too. Think I need to rethink after this one. Probably take a couple week break.
Failed to do another "Show and Tell" after I promised them weekly. Need to get on that.
Egads I'm tired.
