I had an amazingly awesome weekend. It's been a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time since I had that much fun. In fact, the last time I had that much fun was when I went to MTP, my first gathering.
My coworker and friend, Jackie, invited me to birthday bash at Jackpot. Since I never ask for days off, my boss gave me the weekend off. I swear, I have THE coolest boss. She's tough, but she treats us like people. It's almost like a family at where I work. 😀
I've talked with Jackie about my social anxiety and I'm working on combating it by making myself do things to socialize. Jackie wanted me to have a good time, to have fun. And I did.
Of course, the booze helped.
Jackie wanted to get me drunk too since I rarely drink and the last time I was drunk was my 21st birthday. And I did get drunk. Not as outrageous as everyone else, but I was loosened up and having a blast.
The conversations were outrageous and ridiculous. The games were fun and zany. One game we played was spoons and during one round, Ally beat me to a spoon and I cursed "You fucker!" It surprised her because she had never heard me swear before. Lol.
About 2:30am, Christine and I went to bed. She had to get up for work the next day and I wanted to be able to get up and gone because of Easter with my family. Because I went to bed, I missed out on the hot guys. Lol. The rest of the group stayed up for another two hours or so before finally going to bed. 😀
I'm so glad I went. I had so much fun. And it's a step forward in the right direction. 😀
