Being that it is the all-wonderful and holy Shanksgiving, I'll compile my list of shanks. I'll be at my auntie's most of tonight and tomorrow. <3
1. I'm thankful for still having both my parents. They continue to support me in my time of need and make sure all their kids are in the right place in life.
2. I'm thankful for my job. Many are without, and not only do I have one, it's one I truly enjoy and look forward to being at everyday.
3. I am thankful for my kitties. Before they came into my life, it was me coming home to an empty apartment every night. And that was a lonely homecoming indeed.
4. I am thankful for my friends. They continue to be lighthouses in my life. Thank you for being here for me.
5. I am thankful for the fact that my car is an old cantankerous asshole, but still functions to get me to work and back and to see my family.
6. I am thankful for having an awesome apartment. The search was intense this summer, and I thought for a while one of my kitties would have to be fostered with my grama, but everything came through alright and I love the place.
7. I'm thankful for my health. Many others are not as fortunate, and so I count my blessings that I am okay.
8. I am thankful for the food I eat everyday. Many go without, and I do well to remember them.
9. I am thankful for being a relaxed person. My life tends to be not so, but I'm glad I can usually deal with it in the most laid back fashion possible.
10. I am thankful for all of the good people in the world who try to do right to others, who look out for their fellow animal and man, and who hold up honesty, integrity, respect, and love as totems to live by.
