My mom died in January. After she died, I found a journal she kept for the first five years of my life, writing about everything I did.
From 1970, when I was one:
"[Leo] constantly wants the stereo on and is very selective of the music. If it's not something he likes, he lets you know it."
My Dad has exactly one entry in the journal. This is from summer of 1972, at 3 years old:
"That little creep [Leo] corrects me now about The Beatles. Has definite musical taste - Who, Beatles, Neil Diamond, Simon & Garfunkel, Yes, James Gang....walks around singing these songs all day."
Obviously little has changed! (I think the only Neil Diamond album I liked was "Taproot Manuscript")
